Lodges in Northamptonshire
Still largely rural, Northamptonshire offers a host of attractions for young and old. The county is noted for its many historic buildings and our caravan holidays in Northamptonshire are the perfect opportunity to visit Althorp House, childhood home and now resting place of Princess Diana. There’s an outstanding collection of art and antiques, including some fine works by El Greco and Van Dyck at Boughton House, while the gardens at Coton Manor are among the finest in England.
A break in one of our holiday parks in Northamptonshire is perfect for nature lovers too. There are a wide variety of country parks and nature reserves to discover, including the Red Kite Centre in Rockingham Forest, home to more than 70 of these magnificent birds of prey.
There are some delightful old market towns as well, like Oundle or Towcester, famous for its racecourse. And the county town of Northampton, still known for its shoe industry, offers a wide range of shops and some excellent cafés and restaurants. If you’re lucky, there may even be a motor race on at Silverstone – an easy journey from our holiday parks in Northamptonshire. And for a great family day out, Wicksteed Leisure Park offers roller coasters and water flumes, a great boating lake and a huge adventure playground.
