I loved it
Staff helped immediately with minor repair issues in bungalow.
Beautiful setting in trees and gardens.
Silver bungalow had everything for self-caterers - very well equipped and clean.
Facilities let the site down:
Swimming pool needs big facelift & extended opening hours in low season
Bar/reception has restricted opening hours
No evening entertainment: had to go to St Ives to sister camp. Could you run a shuttle there in the evenings?
This is a very tired facility and in desperate need of renovations. Bungalows very small - not really suitable for families over 3 members as very little living space. Pool area is ancient and bar/cafe facility very run down. Staff friendly and very quiet environment which is a positive.
Needs money spent on bar and pool
Lovely quiet location..all staff onsite extremely friendly.Sam in the bar was great with a good sense of humour and nothing was too much trouble for her.
Would go back again.
Children liked tennis court. Frustratingly pool wasn't open before 10 or after 6.30 pm. Location halfway between st ives and penzance was very handy for seeing bottom of Cornwall
The holiday park is located in the countryside, and the spacious grounds are quite pleasant. However the facilities are very poor, no shop, and no pavements on the roads outside the park, meaning you need the car for everything. Also, the bar/reception was pretty dingy and unwelcoming.
Upon arrival to Kenegie Manor and after we entered what would be our accommodation for the next week we were quite disappointed. Externally the "silver bungalow" at old court 2 was very dreary and drab looking and internally it was very dirty - as if it hadn't been cleaned properly by the previous people. There was still rubbish in the kitchenette bin (and on the nearby dust pan) and there were cobwebs everywhere. We instantly set about cleaning everything. The internal set out of the apartment was fine but the TV in the lounge was extremely small. We had also brought some DVD's for the kids to watch as it had been advertised that each bungalow had a DVD player but ours didn't. As we had been stuck in traffic on the way down from Manchester and had been on the road for about 10 hours (we didn't arrive until about 7:30pm) we had no heart or desire to complain and make a big deal about it. We also decided not to let our initial disappointment ruin our hard earned summer holidays. It is also worth noting that the on-site bar was very dull as well as pricey (2 large glasses of wine and a double Bacardi with a splash of cola was £15.60).
The swimming pool is in need of updating, found it to be a bit grubby looking.
Not good value for money. Poor accommadation and poor facilities. Run down . Needs investment to bring it up to speed with similar holiday providers
The pool was dirty and changing facililities poor. The whole place was in desperate need of painting. The bar and reception area smelt like a care home and the food, which we tried once, was extremely overpriced and not fresh. Sorry to be frank, but all true. Bitterly disapointing when I drive nearly 400 miles for our holiday with 4 children who usually spend all their time wanting to swim and use facilities.
This came as a big disappointment. Facilities onsite were very poor with bar only open for 3 hours in the early evening, no entertainment, and nothing else close by. Advertised putting green was overgrown and grass only partially cut the day before we left. Bungalows so close together we were almost living with our neighbours. Not a great experience.
Park was lovely and quiet, exactly what we was looking for. No kids entertainment, no amusements, just perfect :-)
Was a good short break. Could only really use this place as a base as there was not a lot to do. Not even a little shop to get a morning paper.
Hi There, first impression counts, we had 2 elderly guest with us 83 yrs old and when booking we specifically stated they had walking difficulty, yet we were put upstairs, and they had nothing else available downstairs, how stupid is that. There was no proper reception, reception was in the Bar!!! Shocking!!! Availability of meal left a lot to be desired, the bar area stunk of body odour and foul smell along with stale food. I would not be going back there and would not recommend, Once we got indoors and shut the doors it was nice inside, Thank you
