Lodge a bit grubby. Hole in wall behind bathroom door and could do with new sealant around bath

Really good stay with the exception of the damp smell in the lodge especially the bedroom. Also very cramped and mould on the windows, it was lodge number 22 and although dog friendly it didn't have a gate on like other lodges. I wouldn't stay in this lodge again and the very strong smell of damp needs addressing as it left all of our clothing smelling and the smell was so overpowering that I found it hard to sleep. The rest of the lodge was fine it was just the front bedroom.

No water pressure on the shower very very poor, should be called a hand held shower as that is how it was used.

Could have done with wider, longer double bed but had everything else you could need.

We thought our lodges were comfortable and clean and enjoyed staying there for a week.
My only 'problem' was that the numbers and ring diagrams on the hob had worn off and it was difficult to know which ring and how much heat was on. We managed to work it out though.

The accommodation was good, with all of the facilities expected for a pleasant a trouble free holiday. Local suppliers of provisions were somewhat lacking. The nearest reasonable shopping was at Bellingham, about 25 minutes drive.

This was our first time here on a lodge holiday. We enjoyed it but the only thing is that one of the activities for my 6 year old wasn't going ahead despite it being on the schedule. I feel there wasn't enough activities for them to do. Would come back again though

Excellent standard of accommodation. Couldn't fault anything at all.
Peace and quiet remote and scenic with some good mtb trails
Cabin better than expected. Really enjoyed it and will be going back
Great lodge, great location enjoyed every minute! Shop was closed when we arrived just after 4 maybe it should stay open on arrival days.
Our cabin no: 11 was very damp and cold, our clothes smelt dampbecause of this. I do not think it was to your normal high standards, as I had to bleach the kitchen down due to sauce stains and dust plus crums everywhere. NOT VERY HAPPY

We we're advised 2/3 weeks before our holiday that there would be no food available at the gastro pub on site, the alternative was transport to a cafe at another location which did not allow dogs in, so not an alternative for us. This did spoil our holiday as we like to eat and drink together in the evening, one reason we chose Leaplish was because of the on site pub - staff we're very apologetic, but no compensation offered.
We knew that the bar and restaurant facility was out of service but there was an unexpected flood whilst we were there and the bar was closed for one of the days of our stay. Lovey lodge and surroundings but the on site shop was limited and when we visited they were inundated with Christmas decorations that covered the floor.
Great holiday only let down by the weather
Lodge and location great. Just disappointed the restaurant side of the pub not open due to refurbishment. Also the on site shop never seemed to be open . Location was great had a very peaceful stay. Lodge was like home from home had everything we needed.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We thought that our superior lodge could have had cushions for the sofa, to make it a bit more cosier and a non slip mat for the shower. Also a canopy for the hot tub would be useful too.
We thought that there should be more information around the water. For example how far you have walked and how many miles to the art sculptures.
The lodge was the perfect settings for our break away and we loved the hot tub. A brilliant holiday.
Definitely go back again to leaplish the bar staff and shop staff very helpful and made us feel welcome, my partner is asthmatic and struggled with the hill beside the lodges so a big thankyou to Robbie for dropping us at the top one evening.

Superb location and top class service from all the staff.
Loved the lodge, the location was awesome. Plenty to see and do around Kielder and I will definitely be returning..
Lodge was bit dated and had mould on tiles and a while behind bathroom door. It was lodge 22

Relax and unwind in one of the most peaceful areas of the country when you stay at one of our holiday parks in Northumberland. Walkers and beachcombers revel in the dramatic clifftop paths and long, sweeping sands of the coast, and the Northumberland National Park and Cheviot Hills are a nature lovers’ paradise, while water sports enthusiasts of all kinds flock to the vast expanses of Kielder Water. It’s certainly tranquil now, but the impressive castles and peel towers you’ll find within easy reach of our holiday parks in Northumberland speak of the county’s turbulent history. Alnwick Castle, famously doubling as Hogwarts School in the Harry Potter films, is particularly well preserved and also boasts some spectacular water gardens. Make time to explore Berwick’s magnificent town walls, built in the first Elizabethan era, and if you cross the causeway to visit Holy Island’s heritage centre you can, thanks to computer wizardry, ‘turn the pages’ of the beautifully illuminated Lindisfarne Gospels. Constructed by the Romans and now almost 2000 years old, Hadrian’s Wall is still standing – surely a must see when enjoying caravan holidays in Northumberland. And when you’ve relaxed enough, head to Newcastle and Gateshead’s Metro Centre for buzzing nightlife and great shopping.
