Excellent break in magnificent surroundings
Lodge was dirty, windows and bathroom mouldy. Lodge 5 is older and in a row of lodges so not very private as also overlooked. Couch falling to bits... Oh list goes on and on!
Great lodges only slight problem is because of narrow road it is not easy to walk into Killin
Great location staff are excellent accommodation lovely and very dog friendly
Helpfully, friendly, comfortable and most important they allowed my two greyhounds to have a lovely time.So much so I've already booked for next year.
Lovely walk in to the village of Killin , albeit slightly dangerous on the first part due to no pavement , would be nice if there was a way through the woodland in to the village.
Had a lovely time beautiful place can't wait to go by in the new yr thank you for making it a lovely holiday
Manager that we spoke to (from South Africa?) Andrew??? He was great - very helpful and very welcoming, we thought he was an asset to the company, can't praise him more.
We got what we expected althoughwe didn't realise that the lodge was in a row of lodges, we thought it was detached, but never mind. Over all we enjoyed it and we would return. The only thing was the electricity metre was very expensive and we didn't realise that this would be there. Also the sheets etc felt damp and the place could've done with a deep clean. I noticed splashes on the living room wall of previous split drinks etc and in the bathroom there were also splashes on the wall (wood cladding) that couldve been wiped off. The bathroom was also a little damp/smelled mouldy but we didn't expect 5 star as we had paid a very reasonable price.
Beautiful area. Lodge very clean and ensuite in two of the 3 bedrooms was wonderful. Heating worked very well so lodge was cosy. No staff on duty on arrival was the only drawback - didn't quite know what to do not having been before.
It could do with a shop on site.
Great location, Site manager was very helpful, friendly and a fantastic source of advice and local knowledge.
Disappointing, chalet joined together could hear the people next doors tv, snoring everything. Couldn't sit outside when people where smoke came to your chalet too. The chalet was supposed to be for people with disabilities no Way
Invited by owners to drinks around a fire the first evening we were there, during which time we met other guests staying at the lodges and learnt of local history , places to visit etc. It was a pleasent start to what turned out to be a fabulous holiday . Ducks in large groups flew in each morning /evening. They were not a nuisance at all and in fact it was a lovely sight to see whilst we sat on the porch having our morning coffee.
Had a fantastic long weekend, the lodge was spacious, clean and had everything you could need and much more. I especially loved the wee touches such as coffee and tea bags and washing up liquid. We are a family of 4 with 2 Labradors and it was so relaxing. The staff were amazing too nothing was too much trouble and Andrew was always happy to help. Will definitely go back
