Very clean lodge however the beds mere old and uncomfortable and the TV equipment was very old and dated which let the overall quality of the lodge down. Also I would rather the the cost of the electricity was built in to the price of the holiday instead of having to go and buy electric cards for the electric meter, after all you are on holiday and don't want to worry about running out of electric.
we enjoyed our stay despite the cold temperatures we experienced in the week in January, it was very beautiful and the cabin was adequately supplied, the only draw back was that everything was electric card meter, not prepayment with the booking, and in the week we were there we spent a lot of time feeding the meter, storage heaters and air convector heaters are not my favourite form of heating, they are greedy, and I would have preferred central heating and radiators. However, expensive as we found it, everything else was very comfortable and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I would not recommend it for sub zero temperatures if you have the choice to go in the summer when you will not be finding the need to have the heating on continuously to simply keep the cabin at a comfortable temperature. The hot tub was gorgeous, but some paving to walk upon between the hottub and the cabin rather than the gravel chips would have been more comfortable and practical.. .we didn't have spare shoes, only hiking boots, which we needed to keep dry, and in the cold climate of January, we had anticipated having decking or slabs upon which our barefeet would walk to the hot tub... spare shoes for this purpose or flip flops would have been a great advantage. It was an ouchy experience hobling over the sharp chippings in the aftermath of a relaxing session in the hot tub.
Altogether, the area and surrounding tranquility, the walking in Boblainy Forest with our dogs, and the pleasant and helpful staff it was a fantastically peaceful site.
We originally booked another park further up in Scotland. Unfortunately, the park had to close due to bad weather conditions as we could not access the park due to fallen trees and they had no electricity. Kiltarlity lodges accommodated us at very short notice. They phoned me to ask what time we were arriving and as reception was closing, they left our lodge unclocked and put electric on the card meter for us. Staff are very friendly and helpful with any query/problem.
Nice location to explore the Highlands. A lovely little pubs just over a 5 min drive away. More restaurants in a village about a 15 min drive away.
If you are trying to find the lodge for the first time in the dark you may struggle as the signs are very small till you come to the large one at the end of the drive.
There were some issues with the accomdation. I believe the price should be reduced for the standard of the facilities, based on other available accodation which is similarly priced.
As we were running late, I rang to let them know and they turned everything on for our arrival, and looked after us, very grateful to them. Surroundings are superb, with some really good mountain bike routes straight from the lodge
Very relaxing holiday
We had a great time. The weather was better than expected; the surroundings were great; we had some great excursions and the 2 boys loved the pool. The lodge was very comfortable and warm and well-appointed, and the staff were very warm and helpful. The only drawback was the distance - a seven-hour journey for 3 days stay. Perhaps we should stay longer next time!
We combinedo a holiday and visiting family which worked really well, the lodges are fab, easy to finding local surroundings and on site facilities were great.
I think having an electric meter caused a lot of worry, constantly checking incase we ran out as it gobbled the electric! It would just be dso much better if they added that to cost of holiday instead of customers having to remember to check a couple of times a day. The cabins were warm, comfortable and quiet. Location was good.
Was excellent could have done with a screen around hot tub thought it was very open.
Had a very good holiday. lodge very comfortable nice peaceful camp. thats why we go there every year
The accomodation was very basic but clean. The park was very dark at night. The hot tub had no privacy screens which put us of using it for the first 2 nights. The
it was great but the facilities for the disabled is not good should have a wet room instead of bath & shower.and the swiming pool is not disable freindly. but the lodges are very good.
The lodged was great but the location was to remote, no phone signal and could never access the wi fi
