Fantastic. This is the second year we have hired a villa and would do again. Brilliant holiday.
Excellent facilities, warm, clean and spacious. Super location - all you could ask for!
Our double bed was rather uncomfortable - mattress probably needs replacing - but that's the luck of the draw.
Thoroughly recommend and would definitely return.
Very enjoyable. Super-helpful staff and overall a very nice place to take a few days out. Located just outside Newquay makes travel around Cornwall's nicest spots very easy.
My wife and I enjoyed a four night break in early March 2015, out of main season, at Porth Veor Manor in one of the well appointed Villas. We stayed in No 1 "Porthleven" which was a spacious and clean villa placed towards the entrance of the hotel. Overall the accommodation was very comfortable and clean and Porthleven is one of the larger units in the development. We are very familiar with the area and enjoyed walking, catching up with old friends and generally relaxing. Our only negative comment is that on our third day, maintenance men arrived and started sanding (with a noisy electric sander) the wooden terrace chairs in the area directly outside our villa, around the poolside. As we were out for the day it was only a minor inconvenience and had we stayed at the villa we would have approached the staff to resolve the situation. Notwithstanding this we can thoroughly recommend this accommodation and location, Porth Beach is in our opinion one of the best on this coast.
Great holiday, lovely villa over looking the beach. Enjoyed my 40th birthday there. Look forward to going back again
We had a lovely time and will be coming to stay again! Great for all the family:)
The location of Porth Veor is wonderful. Just a short stroll from the beautiful beach of Porth. We had a really lovely, relaxing time.
Villa was fabulous clean people were friendly fidnt want to come home would definitely go back and stay there again
We had an amazing holiday. We have been to Cornwall several times but this was the best accommodation we have stayed in. The children loved the outside pool. The location of the hotel/apartments is fantastic, it was lovely just to be able to walk to the beach. As a family we decided it was our best ever UK holiday!!
The apartments were clean and well equipped, although the pool was smaller than expected, and would seem only, to be suitable for smaller children, we didn't use it! Porth Veor is close to Porth beach, also, close enough to walk across the barrowfields to Newquay. Didn't use the hotel/resturant, so can't comment on those, however, when I went to reception, for a couple of VERY minor issues, the staff were polite, and dealt with them quickly yet discretely. The only two minor faults I could find, were both in the private patio of our apartment, 1), the plants could have done with trimming back, as, they encroached into this area, 2) the table in the patio, was only small, with four chairs, no good for al fresco eating! This area could comfortably accommodate a six seater table and chairs of a similar size to the one in the dining room. These, though really are minor criticisms, and I would certainly stay there again. regards, John M.
Fifth time we have been here and never had a problem
Reported at eleven in morning we have no hot water we returned at seven in evening still no hot water so had to report it again and was partially sorted
Few days later dining table leg fell off reported it at two when we returned at seven table exactly the same
Spent the last few days of holiday with small table and damaged table still in apartment.
