the location of the Lodge site was easy to find (even in the snow). The receptionist was friendly, helpful and very informative and directed us to the lodge. The surroundings themselves was very picturesque and provided the perfect relaxing retreat we were looking for.
A fabulous break with a touch of luxury
The food at the hotel wasn't very nice sadly!
A lovely quiet area with just 4 lodges. A place to hide away. Surprised that we were told there was a £25 per person charge if we had any visitors - even during the day. Our daughter and small children were visiting one day as it was a family birthday celebration - that was why we had hired a lodge rather than stayed in a hotel. I do not expect to have to pay extra for this.
Very helpful when needed.
Great weekend, lovely meal in restaurant on Friday night fantastic service from two lovely girls, not much atmosphere though as was really quiet.
Fantastic lodge but could have better instructions on how to use the hot tub. Also the pillows were to flat and no spare ones
Had a lovely time,Cabin a nice size. very clean and tidy! Log burner made the nights nice and cosy. The hot tub very nice just a little high to enter& The lighting was very limited.Great location for visiting Sherwood Forest,Sherwood pines or Clumber park.Would stay here again thoroughly enjoyed our break here!
There were not any facilities on site excpet for the pub
Booked as a surprise weekend for my husband and we had a fantastic weekend.
The lodge was excellent with everything you could possibly need in a well equipped kitchen. Superb surroundings, ideal for both couples and families. However, very poor customer service from both the reception staff and the hot tub engineer ruined the stay.
Would have been nice to have had a small park for the children. Lovely private surroundings though!
the staff where very helpful and friendly the food at red brick restaurant was amazing and great value for money the cabin was very cheap for what you got will be booking again soon
Lovely location, and the food in the restaurant was outstanding. Some of the staff were rude and not very helpful, but others were wonderful. They had a wrong definition of sub-letting, and their information leaflet contained some terrible grammatical mistakes. There was nothing to do in the park itself, and it's a shame we couldn't walk anywhere from the lodge.
The four of us were very pleasantly surprised at the excelent standard of the lodge from the moment we opened the door
