We have family living in Newcastle and thought a break with the grandkids & daughter would be great. Riverside Country Park is very well situated in a rural spot but easy distance to local beauty spots. Our Deluxe caravan had everything we could have asked for, fully equipped and nice & cosy with the heating on was a bonus in early April. Beds were comfy, kitchen fully equipped and shower very adequate. The kids had a whale of a time and we will certainly be back for more breaks & to explore the beautiful Northumberland area.
Great place staff brilliant the only thing is the WiFi you have to pay for it and it doesn't always work that's the only let down for me why not put a few pounds extra and the cost of staying and have free WiFi if it's free you can't really complain!!!!
It's shame we didn't have free access to wifi. It seems very ancient that the guests have to pay for the usage of wifi at such a holiday park.
Well kept site in good position to visit both coast and countryside
great value for money. nearby pool very small, potentially not worth a visit. bar across the road is decent to spend one night, affordable and food ok.
Nice location to explore and little village of Wooler with nice pubs and an excellent Italian close by. Caravan was clean and tidy.
Great holiday would definitely book again! As we went out of season the bar was quite quiet but was nice to relax :)
The park was wonderful and great value for money. Only negative being that the double bed in our caravan was very uncomfortable
We got a fantastic deal and wondered if the quality of our accommodation would suffer. We couldn't be more wrong....from the reception staff to the maintenance people and accommodation, everything was perfect. The caravan was fresh and spotlessly clean, the whole site was clean and tidy and all the staff very friendly. We couldn't have asked for anymore.
Fantastic place surrounded by beauty, the lodge was like being at home. We took our dog and she loved it. What also made it for us was the local bars and eating places where dogs are welcome. Only down side is, the park is advertised as dog friendly however dogs are not allowed in the parks pub or eating area.
Would still visit again!
lovely place would recommend it to my family and friends
Had an enjoyable stay. Caravan very comfy and very warm. Surrounding pretty and peaceful. Would stay again and e
The staff at reception and in the shop were extremely helpful and can't thank them enough.
Nice place, accommodation excellent, looked like new large cabin. Quiet time of year (Nov) but facilities open. Have ben before, would go back for a short break.
The deluxe lodge was fantastic apart from no hand towels or bath mats in either of the bathrooms, o.k so bath mats aren't provided but when it says towels provided you automatically expect hand towels. When I spoke to reception about this the girl looked at me very strangely! Swimming pool was freezing due to the extremely rude life guard having all windows and doors open around the pool area, not good at the end of October, hence the fact we only went swimming once so didn't get full use of the facilities which we had paid for. Overall the customer service at Riverside was pretty poor and I got the impression that we weren't welcome when we spoke to staff regarding these issues.
