I was meant to be in a lodge for the disabled but I do not see how the the lodge I was in was equipped for this purpose and what was there for it to be called this. I also was suppose to be in a double room but both rooms were twins.
Loved the place,so peaceful and lovely scenery. The Lodge was very comfortable and cosy, being winter time.I definately want to go back and stay again.
a great quiet holiday to chill out and enjoy the area defo will be going back
very expensive in the summer months .I HAVE BEEN 4 TIMES NOW.
heating stopped working and there was some problems with mice
The location is great. We didnt encounter any staff so I cant comment on that
nice relaxing break in lovely surroundings
have been 6 times, for last three years door has been broken on ice box compartment. The toilets seat was also broken. Beds are terrible, cobwebs everwhere, needs general maintainance. Still a lovely place to go to relax and fish
We have been going to Springwater Lodges for 8 plus years, mostly 3 times a year. We all love the area, very quiet and peaceful, yet only 10 mins drive into Atr town centre, so you have the best of both worlds really.
The lodges themselves are basic but very comfortable. They have everything you would ever need, very well equiped. The power shower is amazing, freeview television, even a washing machine, toaster, cooker, microwave, ironing board, fridge freezer, and a veranda to sit out on.
The views are stunning from the lodges, very picturesque. If it's peace and quiet your after these are perfect for you.The staff are also extremely helpful, if you ever have a problem just go down to the fishery and they will contact the owner of the lodges Danny, who could not be nicer and will help you out with whatever problem you may have.
The lodges could do with a bit of updating, however this does not stop us from going up all the time.
we enjoyed our stay it was what we were expecting but for some people it may be a bit isolated
Perfect location for a chill out. Taxi is £11 into Ayr (lovely town) if you want to have a drink - buses infrequent but close by. Recommended The Tree House as a place to eat.
We had a lovely stay, there is no welcome pack with numbers ect but the owner did come a see is to check everything was ok and to make sure we could call him if we needed anything.
The lodge could have done with a deep clean and an outside table to go with the chairs.
The place was lovely a quite，with great views and not to far to drive to shops, town, beach and places to visit.
We had an amazing holiday and would go back.
A beautiful place to stay, just two lodges with landscaping in between to give total privacy at the back. The furniture was in really good condition and modern. The lodge was clean and well presented with some nice touches; towels provided, pictures on the walls a big mirror in the lounge and flowers on the table. The view from the front was stunning, overlooking the main fly fishing lake and then to the countryside beyond. If looking for a place for peace and quiet but also with fly and course fishing on site and well placed for touring Ayrshire then Springwater lodges fits the bill.
2nd time here in last 7 months .excellent location .lodge more than adequate. A feather duster round windows and lights to get rid of cobwebs would help .
We had a short break at Springwater Lodges. It was a peaceful location with well equipped comfortable lodges. There was the opportunity to walk or fish and it was well situated for other excursions.
We would consider using this accommodation again.
