Would not go again. Place was damp, dirty and full of bugs and wasps.
Great location and staff, facilities are good but the pool very cold
we found that letting people dress the tables on the last night for Halloween a bit harsh as my youngest daughter was unable to enjoy the disco as the were no tables left and I think it should be done on a first come first serve basis ,so as there were no tables we went home instead but it would of been nice for us to of enjoyed the disco
Location ok but long way from the sea and parking is difficult in St Ives.
It's the second time we have stayed there this year. Totally love the woodland setting & the location is perfect for exploring the rest of cornwall.
Did not use many of the facilities as we were only using lodge as a base for walking the sw coast path.
Lovly family site kids loved it we will be back next year
booked bronze chalet, advised no bed linen provided. filled car with 2 duvets pillows blankets sheets etc linebn already provided when we arrived at chalet. Very annoying as i have a small car and was unable to buy as much as i wanted as no room in car also my friend purchased a new duvet and she didn't need to.
had a very nice relaxing holiday the slope leading down to holiday hut was a bit steep for me and slippery when wet with leaves
Really enjoyed our stay. Some of the facilities are showing their age, but not to any real detriment.
Staff friendly, children in club late into the night no kerfu time for young children main concern.
The water on the holiday village was not working at least twice, the bar ran out of drinks, the staff made terrible effort to remember the childrens names at the kids clubs, it would have been better not to try than call one of them number 2, the swimming pool was closed to most of the users so that 1 person could have a scuba diving lesson. I don't call a race night a main evening entertainment, but a warm up for a main event.
The chalet we had 96 was cold and damp bedding even putting clothes in the drawer felt wet , we did complain they gave us a de humidifier if we got offered one of those again I think we'd go home
chalets badly require updating. complete site also needs looking at - site is in a forest which is very overgrown with ivy.
It's ok for a base camp but you would not want to be there allday. The new lodges that have just been built look nice but the the older buildings really need updating and cleaning. Pathways and roads leading to some of the chalets need repairs as you can't see the dips and potholes when it's dark.
Peak season prices are very steep considering you can go abroad for less and guarantee the weather
