Lovely well maintained park. Helpful, friendly staff. Could do with an on-site shop as nearest shops are a bit of a drive.
The lodge was the best my family and I have ever stayed in. It was extremely spacious, the decor and layout were perfect. Was unfortunate was not available for a greater time. My two daughters were at a cheerleading competition over the weekend and so we were limited for time around the park and the pool opening times did not fit in well with the times we were around. I am not sure why it would not be available for longer periods.
Just had our third short break at The Springs and already can't wait to go back later this year. For a relaxing break in a luxurious lodge this place is perfect. Each lodge overlooks a lovely little lake with lots of ducks and geese and the lodges are truly amazing! Our lodge looked as new and well kept this time as it did back in November last year. The lodges are always spotlessly clean. The swimming pool is lovely and the changing areas are immaculate, if I was to be picky I would say that it would be nice if the pool was open later in the day but we understand that there are only a very small number of holiday homes on this park and not that many staff so it wouldn't be that practical for them. We go there to relax in the comfort of the lodge so it doesn't bother us that there is no entertainment or restaurant etc. Just peace and quiet. Lovely!
Lovely accommodation and surroundings. Shame that the club house was only open on weekends.
The lodge was superb and the view of the lake beautiful.A shame that you could only use the swimming pool if at least 2 people and the club house did not open everyday or have meals.
Otherwise a lovely holiday.
The Springs is a beautiful place to stay, and the lodge was everything one would want in a lodge. My Husband was pleased with the fish he caught which went into double figures. We did feel it definately needed a little shop to buy essential things. The club house seemed to be missing a great deal, as it had no facilities for having an evening meal or even a light snack, so a missed potential there. You had to take everything with you that you needed otherwise waste time going to shop, which you don,t always want to do on holiday.Considering you cant get in till 4.00pm and out by 10am we thought the Monday to Friday Break was expensiveas you only end up having three days, plus wasted time going to the shops for essentials. Hopefully room for improvement for the future on a great site.
The park was peaceful and well kept. The facilities were limited but sufficient, and ideal for an 'away from it all' break. Great location for exploring this lovely area.
lodge lovely found the journey too tiring all motorway. so for that reason would not go again
Lovely relaxing place. Lodge was perfect with many little extras eg. Binoculars for bird watching, local guide books, tea , coffee and sugar and cleaning products supplied. Excellent lake views from lodge. Lots of fish in lake and several people fishing. Spotlessly clean. Only one little niggle was that the beds weren't the most comfortable. Shower room and bathroom. Great location. Easy access to many local places and lovely walks around the site. All staff friendly and helpful. Lovely clubhouse with bar and swimming pool. All very clean. Aztec watersports on site with good discount if staying in lodge. Would definitely go back again.
the park was beautifully maintained. Very peaceful. The lakes had plenty of wildlife and good fishing.
We really enjoyed the brilliant lodge. Very clean, lovely outlook across the lake. We had a very relaxed and peaceful holiday, so much so the we have already booked for next year.
Lovely modern lodge in peaceful surroundings, park was very well kept, good fishing .Only two small grumbles , no fishing peg directly in front of lodge and no signs directing you to the lodge or exit of park.Would stay again though.
Lodge was excellent - very clean and well equipped and as described in brochure. Facilities on site were very disappointing - club house did not serve food and was only open fri, sat n sunday evenings even at Spring Bank holiday week. Swimming pool closed at 4pm most pdays (7pm Mon n Thurs).
beautiful park and surroundings, the accommodation was great , only downside nowhere to eat or have a drink, staff said not many people there, but majority places had people in them. there were no close facilities to dine or drink without taking a car ride.
Great hoiliday lodge with fantastic views over lake really nice site but quite retreat for wonderful hoiliday with loads to do within 20 miles, will return again as we had a great time .best fishing I have had for along time carp to 20 lbs tench +
