Lovely break in beautiful, peaceful surroundings. Hot tub fab
Good place. Will get better and each lodge more private as the planting matures.
On arrival we received a warm reception and details of where local stores etc were as well as who and how to contact staff should we need them.
During our stay all contact with the staff on site was pleasant and even the hot tub inspections were unobtrusive and usually performed whilst we were out.
Beautiful lodge, beautiful setting. Loved the peaceful surroundings. However there was nothing for children and had to travel quite a way daily for activities for the kids. We did not know that children under 10 werent allowed in the hot tub so we had 3 very disappointed children whilst the other 3 were allowed. Also we were inundated with flies and wasps so couldn't keep the patio doors open. We went through 3 fly sprays in the week we were there and were attacked daily by wasp after wasp which was upsetting for the youngest children especially. Packing the car up at the end of the week was a challenge as the wasps were filing in the car as we were doing it. Such a shame as it was a beautiful lodge.
A wonderful location to relax and get away from it all - so peaceful. The lodge itself was very comfortable, clean and well-equipped with stunning views across the countryside. The hot tub was a great way to relax. Staff on-hand but not intrusive. Surrounding area is beautiful. We had a fantastic holiday and would not hesitate to recommend Wigmore Lakes and would definitely love to stay here again.
We had a lovely holiday, the lodge was spotless and the staff were helpful and friendly. The site was lovely and quiet and it was nice and dark at night so you could see lots of stars. We took our bikes and did lots of cycling.
The staff at Wigmore Lakes are outstanding, can't fault them on anything.
Any problem or query, and they sorted it out straight away. Friendly and keen to help.
The village itself is almost invisible - if you have no car, you're in trouble. Nothing to walk to in any direction except a very small shop/post office and a (really nice, big, friendly) cafe/chip shop. If we had been a family keen to fish for sport, it would have been idyllic, so if that's your thing, book today! We used it as a base to visit the Ironbridge Gorge Museums, which was a 40 minute drive away.
We enjoyed a really relaxing break in lovely peaceful surroundings. Lodge was beautiful and hot tub was a treat! Would definitely recommend this to anyone!
Our stay at Wigmore lakes was fantastic, the lodge was amazing.... but luckily we had the delux size lodge.
The only negative from our weekend away was that the site manager / grounds person came very early each morning to fiddle with the hot-tub and add chemicals etc... and on our last day came to the lodge at 7am and emptied the hot tub.... we did not have to leave the lodge until 10 and the kids wanted a last "dip" .
Overall though a fantstic break and would definately recommend it to my friends and family.
Enjoyable relaxing break. Hot tub was fabulous.
Nice quiet site with lovely views.
Cooker and b.b.q.filthy.
Although there is a notice that staff do not have time to clean everything,
this is no excuse as there are only 5 lodges with a 6 hour time gap between departures
Lots of flies in lodge every day despite our killing dozens ! Appreciate that we were in
open countryside, but the flies appeared to be attracted by something and getting in even when doors and windows were closed. This spoiled what would have been anice holiday.
