Real reviews, from customers like you.
Beautiful area and setting. We went out of season and most local attractions weren't open so not much for the children, aged 7 to 16, to do. However,we had a lovely break and would definitely go again when more to do.
Lovely location, just what we were looking for. Very relaxing but close enough to shrewsbury to take the kids out to keep them occupied!
Beautiful location, perfect for relaxation and peace and quiet. As mentioned in several reviews, the park is in development, although this had zero impact on our stay. Nothing for children to do, apart from a pool table. If you want to entertain little ones you will have to leave the site.
Plenty to see nearby if you do fancy a drive out.
Spoke to the owners briefly a couple of times, and they are really friendly.
Would definitely stop again.
Quiet, clean and pleasant location. Very comfortable hot tub.
the owners of Wigmore lakes care about what they have built so far,
This is so clear to see, from the metal grids provided so you dont burn the table tops in the kitchen, to the squeeze in the shower so you can prolong the lifetime of the grout around the tiles, its nice to see people being passionate about what they are trying to achieve.
The hot tub/jacuzzi was a real winner,we went in early February when it was very cold on the nights, but that was soon rectified by getting into a 37 degree hot tub.lovely.
Nice enough but better if you like fishing. Can't say that the beds were very comfortable but the lodge itself was very well equipped and lovely and warm.
Amazing location . Staff very helpful. Lovely peaceful New Years break.
Loved our stay here over Christmas 2014, very quiet and nothing around the local area which is what we wanted. Only thing that would of been nice is paths around the lakes for walks. Other than that can't fault the place at all and would definitely go back again.
Fab relaxing holiday in beautiful location. Great facilities and very helpful staff
we visited Wigmore Lakes in early December, the lodge was lovely and comfortable, home from home,.. staff were very helpful and friendly.
the view of the beautiful lakes was awesome, this is a brand new site and you can see that the owners are trying to make a success of it,
I think they should have a little park for children to enjoy
Delightful place, lovely people, immaculate accommodation!
Had a fantastic long weekend at Wigmore Lakes, the lodges that our group stayed in were superb, hot tubs were hot!!! All the time, and cleaned twice daily, the staff were amazing, honestly could not fault the place, would definitely like to return.
A wonderful lodge in quiet surroundings but more lighting is needed around the site.Furthurmore we are now unable to return because we have a dog even though we always leave our accomodation as clean and tidy as we find it . This seems very unfair to responsible dog owners.
Just very disappointed we cannot return again with our Labrador. It's such a shame you have stopped dogs returning. Our dog is well trained and completing kennel club gold award, it's a shame others have spoilt it for the well mannered dogs and owners! And for this reason we will not return as only go on holidays with our family pet in this country.
