The front door lock was jammed luckily my husband carried a toolbox so we were able to open cottage but couldn’t not risk using the lock again which left us fairly exposed , the cottage is desperate for more storage space and coat hooks are missing as are hooks for tea towels etc Tiling the bathroom window sill and fitting a shower curtain would make a huge difference The location makes up for all these gripes Lindale is beautiful and we found plenty of great OFF LEAD walks for our border terriers £380 per week is a more appropriate price given the limitations of the tiny cottage

Superb location, pub/restaurant next door excellent for food and friendliness. Property was really nice although perhaps not great for tall people, also a little awkward not having a shower. Would definitely stay again.

The cottage is easy to find from the directions given. We were pleased with the cleanliness of the cottage, but the pictures do make it look bigger than what it is. It is very small. The cottage was equipped with everything we needed. The pub next door is great, but does not allow dogs. You need to use your car to get any where. There are no walks close by you can go on that doesn’t involve walking along a main road which was dangerous. We were really disappointed about this. Better information in the cottage regarding local walks would have been useful and welcome. We made the best of our stay but wouldn’t go again.

No logs provided as promised - had to dig around in shed for dirty old bits of scrap wood. Minimal kitchen equipment. Basic average no frills cottage, no shower unless sitting in pre filled bath with tepid water.

Lovely cottage but problems with the heating meant it was cold despite the best efforts of the heating engineer. Promised Welcome Packs weren’t provided. Road works outside the door all week meant it was inconvenient re access and not the quiet break we had hoped for.

We love grange over sands and we love lindale because it's so quiet. This cottage was so cosy, we love that it's all on one level, and it had everything we needed. The dogs especially loved that we didn't have to 'leave them downstairs' Like we usually have to!

Lovely location. Local shop only open 8:30 - 1:00, but a COOP & Tesco express in Grange - less than 2 miles away, plus petrol station/ shop at Newby Bridge around 4 miles. Cottage had all we needed. . Very comfortable, the wood burner will only take smaller sized logs , which we weren't aware of until we bought a bag from the garage. We visited local towns, and further afield towards Western lakes, yet close enough to beaches of Morecambe and Blackpool. Had difficulty with outer front door locking, but it was a hinderance, not a major problem. There was a list of walks and available amenities, including places to eat, recycle advice laid out in the folder at the cottage. The local pub was very handy, especially as they allowed us to park our car, with consideration of course.

Unfortunately I had problems with the heating. Other than that it was all ok. Probably the first cottage I have stayed in that is looked after by a cleaning company so it lacked all the little personal touches. I just wouldn’t recommend the cottage as I wasn’t particularly enamoured by it

We should have stayed at Broom cottage for 2 nights but only ended up staying 1 night as we tried to get heating on and couldn’t. No real good information in visitors book to help.Did contact owner but no help really. Thought owner may have contacted us later after our phone call to them to see if we had managed to get heating on but no. We were going to change duvet if thicker one there when took off duvet cover the duvet had seen better days our dogs covers seemed cleaner than that bits of it missing and not clean. Although cottage very small the rest was fine but no would not stay again
