    Comfort and Equipment

    Value for money

Stayed at this cottage on 4 or 5 occasions and has been consistently clean and comfortable. It is situated in the quaint village of Blythburgh, from which there are lovely walks along the river Blyth and the old disused railway line.

Very comfortable homely cottage. However we could only stay for four nights, but when booking were told we would have to pay for full week’s accommodation in order to secure booking, so expensive. Lots of lovely dog walks and welcoming local pub.

We had a lovely week overall. The cottage is plenty big enough for 4 adults and a toddler and the stair gate and kitchen door made it easy to keep him safe around the stairs. Unfortunately, we found the two single beds to be extremely squeaky, to the point where we were woken every time we moved. Other than this, we found the cottage very comfortable, good value for money. The pub nearby is lovely!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and may well go back for another 4 nights next year

A lovely old cottage in the centre of Blythburgh. Well equipped and comfortable in a quiet situation with access to some fine walks. Just watch your head, some of the doorways are low.

Great place for exploring the east coast of Suffolk. Local walks along the Blyth estuary are a must.

Faultless. Spotlessly clean, well-equipped, lovely spot from which to visit places of interest. Only holiday cottage i have found where my dog is secure!! Walks from the doorstep, along abandoned Southwold railway, beside river Blyth. Friendly locals. Planning my 4th and 5th visit next year.

No garden furniture that could be used half broken and rest rusty. Bbq was dirty. Old furniture in lounge. Beautiful cottage though and position was lovely

Stayed at this cottage back in 2013. Loved it then and loved it this visit. All furniture looked the same 4 years on. Would have liked to have seen different sofas in the lounge as they aren’t particularly comfortable. Will return though.

Some criticisms. The stairs are described as steep but they could be better described as to give warning to the frail or obese. There were no scissors, or at least if they were they had been carefully hidden. The television reception on freeview was pretty useless, better instructions could be given as to how to get BBC iplayer etc. Visitor information could be improved. But don't despair. There were two good teapots and an excellent selection of spoons. All in all a very enjoyable stay.
