The property is comfortable & close to the town centre. The on-site staff were welcoming & friendly. My only negative comments are that the lounge is rather spartan, a few table lamps and pictures on the walls would make it more welcoming and the double-bedded room could do with a bedside table and lamp. There was no wi-fi, which one would expect be provided these days. Hence my low score of 6 for comfort.

Lovely little apartment - everything you need for a short break and the kiddies loved the diwnstairs bedrooms. Kitchen very well equipped. Perfect location with a very short walk to shops, cafes, bars and takeaways with all you need. Would definitely go back.

Overall very good. The property was fairly clean but could do with more of a thorough clean - a bit of dirt in the corners, little bits or rubbish in draws, a line of grime in the bathroom sink.
That was my only complaint, otherwise it was a great place to stay.
Absolutely lovely cottage, couldn't have asked for more. Location perfect as just 2 mins walk from the centre of town and yet lovely and quiet. The cottage was spotless too. Would definitely stay there again and might go with the 'girls' next time rather than the family as the pubs in Barnard Castle were fantastic too! Loads to do and see including the amazing Bowes Museum, the Castle and walks along the river.
Loved location and apartment. Softer lighting in lounge would make for cosier atmosphere

Great location, pay-to-park but cheap, decent facilities but basic. Needs more furniture and 'homely' touches in the living room. Rooms fairly small especially the double bedroom.
The cottage was lovely, very clean and tidy. Friendly people. Overall we were happy with our experience there.
