We received a warm and friendly welcome from Rob & Emma at The Museum. They showed us to the studio apartment and had kindly provided some essentials, such as bread, tea and milk allowing us to settle without any trouble. The apartment was clean and tidy, with clean bedding and towels also provided. Note: There are approx 12 steps to the Museum studio which is on the first floor, although they do have rooms on the ground floor. The car parking was right outside so no issue with carrying luggage. Would definitely recommend, as the location of the Museum was near central in Barnard Castle, so everywhere easily accessible.
Lovely accommodation although WiFi was poor, the previous occupants had left it smelling badly and Rob, who was looking after us, cleaned it wonderfully- thank you - we would recommend this place for sure
Had a great short break, would recommend 😄
Excellent value apartment only minutes walk away from the centre of the lovely market town of Barnard Castle and the local shops, pubs and restaurants. Bowes Museum is less than ten minutes walk away and there are a variety of great walks, easy and hard, on the doorstep. The apartment was clean, tidy and very comfortable and we were pleased to find bread, milk, tea and coffee on arrival. Definitely worth a visit
Excellent accommodation, friendly helpful welcome from hosts in the Black Horse. Perfect stopover on our Coast to Coast cycle ride
Exactly what we wanted, lovely room, comfy bed, nice welcome pack, easy for town centre, parking permit for adjoining car park.
