    Kitchen/dining room: With electric cooker, microwave, fridge and washing machine.

    First Floor:
    Bedroom 1: With zip and link kingsize bed (can be 2ft 6in twin beds on request).
    Bedroom 2: With bunk bed.
    Shower room: With shower cubicle and toilet.

    Gas central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included.

    Courtyard with sitting-out area, garden furniture and BBQ. Bike store. Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking.

    2 The Woodlands is located in a fabulous, Grade II listed archway building at the top of the driveway to Thornbridge Outdoors. Refurbished in 2017, the cottage is a cosy and comfortable place to stay, and boasts many original features, such as the wonderful leaded windows and high ceilings throughout. Outside, you will find a seating area, with charcoal barbecue, in which to enjoy the surroundings and relax after a day exploring this amazing area.
    This terraced cottage in situated in the grounds of Thornbridge Outdoors, on the edge of Great Longstone village, central to the Peak District National Park and around 3 miles from the famous market town of Bakewell. Excellent cycling and walking can be found right from the doorstep of the cottage, which includes the traffic-free Monsall Trail which runs from Bakewell Mill in Chee Dale to Coombs Road in Bakewell. The gritstone edges of Froggatt and Stanage are within easy reach for climbing enthusiasts.
    Great Longstone itself is home to a couple of pubs and a small village shop. Supermarkets can be found a short drive away in Bakewell and Buxton, and most deliver to the cottage. The famous Plague village of Eyam is about a 10-minute drive away, and many of the iconic stately homes can be reached within 20 minutes, such as Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall to mention a few. The fascinating caverns in Castleton and the tourist spot of Matlock are both a 25-minute drive away. For the more energetic thrill seekers, why not visit Alton Towers with its fabulous rides and attractions. Shop, pub and restaurant 250 yards.
