Nestling on the banks of the River Tamar, this is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and a Cornish Mining World Heritage Site. Ideal for families during the summer, and couples out of season looking for a quiet base to get away from it all, whilst enjoying all that this part of Cornwall has to offer.Close to the border between Cornwall and Devon, this is a superb location from which to explore the wider region. The historic market town of Tavistock is just a 20-minute drive away, or locally you can catch the train from Gunnislake to Plymouth. Take a boat trip along the meandering River Tamar from the pretty riverside village of Calstock. Visit the Tamar Valley Donkey Park which is just ½ mile away. The on-site facilities include an indoor and outdoor swimming pool, gym and a tennis court which are available from April to October, and a children’s play area, all free of charge to use. Beach 20 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant on-site.

Nice little anex, unfortunately quite damp in the bedrooms including beds. Ceiling was leaking in main bedroom. Bulbs missing in lamps, lots of dust and poor cleaning. Lack of Curtain clips ! Some didnt even fit the windows correctly.
Iron failed PAT test in 2015! And not replaced (exposed wires!)
Bedding and duvets/pillows very cheap and thin.
