    First Floor:
    Bedroom 1: Master bedroom with king size bed and en-suite shower cubicle and toilet.
    Bedroom 2: Twin bedroom.

    Oil fired central heating, fuel, towels, bed linen and Wi-Fi included. There is no cot available at the property, you are welcome to bring your own or you can hire one to collect from our Keswick office.

    Paved seating area to the front and large shared gardens. Summer house available. Private parking for 2 cars.  Pleae note: There are significant drops within the grounds of the property. This property has a security deposit of £100.

    Nestled in the hillside, this magnificent building has the most spectacular views across the valley towards the mighty Skiddaw range, from its elevated location on the edge of Thornthwaite village. Ladstock Hall was a very grand country house hotel, a renowned venue for weddings, it has now been converted into several apartments and cottages, the standard of which is excellent.  No.5 is a split level apartment furnished and equipped throughout to appeal to the most discerning guests. Thornthwaite lies three miles to the West of Keswick at the foot of Whinlatter and close to Bassenthwaite lake. This area is great for mountain biking in Whinlatter forest, walking on the surrounding fells and sailing or fishing on the lake. There is a bridle way immediately behind Ladstock Hall where you can walk to Braithwaite, a little over half a mile, which has a village shop, restaurant and two pubs each serving good food and real ale.     Fantastic cottage with everything you need provided. The only thing stopping it being a ten...blind exit onto road. Would suggest mirrors to check for oncoming traffic.

    An excellent place to stay with beautiful views from the main room. The apartment is well-equipped and is very quiet and comfortable. Storage for bikes was not provided (there are spaces but we were not given a key) but that is the only negative.

    Amazing location.....no question there! Generally, we loved the stay but questions should be raised over: - Cleanliness of the entrance of the apartment. It was full of dead bugs...literally hundreds. - Neither extractor has been cleaned. Both clogged and probably useless - TV kept switching itself off - Picture in the master bedroom had a huge 'spill stain' on it. Clearly been there a while. - Many areas where dusty... Overall, the week was great...but the apartment experience was let down by simple attention to detail....and for the price paid, I would expect better.
