The Mill on the Fleet is now a visitor centre where you can read about Gatehouse’s fascinating history including the benevolence of a local landowner. The Cairnsmore of Fleet dominates the head of the valley whilst the ancient oak wood at Castramont provides colour throughout the year particularly in Spring when it is carpeted in bluebells.     We had a lovely relaxing holiday at 5 Tannery Brae, it is ideally located within the town and allows you to explore both the beautiful countryside and coast. Well equipped and definitely recommended. We may well return next year.
