We had a great weekend away with the whole family. The house is large and spacious with all you need. The hot tub was a great addition to last time we visited.

We have just returned from a lovely weekend at Abbot's Farm to celebrate my 60th birthday. We were a mixed group of adults ranging in age from 58-90. We have met together at many houses in the past, but we have never been to a house with so much crockery, cutlery and cooking equipment - which was brilliant!! However, we did find that my Father, who is 90, had to be very careful as he moved around the house as the floors are quite uneven in places and the downstairs bedroom was not suitable for him as it is such a long away from the downstairs bathroom. The temperature in the showers tended to be a little unpredictable but we made good use of the lovely hut tub in the large garden. In the evenings we lit a fire in the Lounge and put a jigsaw out on the coffee table so everyone could enjoy a nice cosy time together with a glass of wine and the dining table was certainly large enough for us all to sit around and enjoy a Chinese and Indian Take Away.

Lovely old cottage with bags of character. Loved the hot tub. Great facilities sky cinema, tumble dryer etc. Some of the house would benefit from modernisation. Loose floor tiles and spindles a bit unsafe. Generally a really nice house welcoming and clean, large and bedrooms great. If you like old properties you’ll appreciate it. Just needs a little tlc in places.

Abbots Farm was ideal in terms of size for our large group of friends and their accompanying children, all rooms being a good size and the best equipped kitchen I have come across, 3 ovens were very usefully cooking pizza for 15. The property is a bit tired an few things broken and all in all needs a bit of tender loving care. The owner was helpful but there were a few things I don’t expect to have to deal with while on holiday.

Abbott's farm was perfect for a big family and friends get together. Sadly one of the main showers drains was blocked .leading to problems with overspill. Andy who owns the farm house very helpful and friendly .

Excellent owner who could not have been more helpful - the hot tub was a great hit with the 8 children in the party! Large kitchen and dining room and so much equipment including 3 ovens! Hope to return!

A great place for a family gathering. The owner was hugely accommodating and went out of his way to setup a few things on our behalf. The hot tub and games room were welcome additions. The house is massive and can hold a large group comfortably. Quirky and comfortable.

We had a 3 generation family gathering here for the weekend. The place is spacious with excellent facilities - we were able to use the pool, hot tub and games room. Andy was very helpful, friendly and flexible. The location is beautiful albeit there is not much in the immediate vicinity, but for us this was not a problem as we were there to meet up with each other from various parts of the UK. Some of the electrics did not seem to work too well (a couple of lamps), but otherwise the kitchen was very well equipped and the bathrooms were clean with decent showers.

A truly exceptional property. Abbotts Farm is the best quipped cottage that we have ever stayed in. The amount of cooking, eating and drinking equipment is huge. Pool, Hot Tub and Games Room were in constant use! The owner was very friendly and accommodating. We have given a "10" for local amenities but we didn't leave the property during the entire long weekend. Really outstanding.

10 Adults, 7 children (ages 3 to 16), and a dog all enjoyed staying at Abbotts Farm this summer. The pool, the hot tub and the games room were in use every day, as was the dishwasher! There is plenty of room for everyone and the children enjoyed the house and the garden; ideal for hide-n-seek type games. For the less active some could play with an X-box whilst others could watch a video in the other lounge. We hardly left the house as we had most of our shopping delivered and in fact some of our party never left the premises. To capture the week one of us wrote a song, a parody of ‘Shotgun’ (‘Time flies by in the Abbotts Farm house’) which was then sung by the children and captured on video in various parts of the house and garden. A good memory of what for some was ‘the best family holiday yet’.

Great house for a large family gathering/celebration. Large garden to be enjoyed by all ages. Pool, hot tub, games room. Large kitchen plus large dining room. Amazing range of crockery, utensils, glasses for all occasions. We all had a great time and the owner, Andy, was extremely helpful and approachable. My grand-daughters want to know when are we going back :-)

Had a brilliant time with 18 of us taking up all beds. Pool was great and warm and the hot tub very warm to hot. Plenty of crockery and bedding and owners lovely and helpful and live on site. Showers all worked. Helped enormously by being a really hot and sunny weekend. Spent most time out and about on cycles and then by the pool and so did not notice that we had a separate games room until reminded by the owners. Could have enjoyed that lovely facility. Only slight downside as we were all adults was that the twin bedded rooms were a bit on the small side and only one on suite bathroom. The other bathrooms were all in a row but we did manage OK. In their defence the house in a very old farmhouse and they would have been fine for children.

A great place for our family group. Lots of space to relax together and felt like a home-from-home. Sky Sports was popular, as were the pool (though it was a bit cold some days) and most especially the hot-tub. Most of the beds were comfortable but the sofa bed was not a hit I'm afraid, not even for 1 person. Kitchen was very well equipped and plenty of oven space for big groups. Owner was helpful and relaxed. We hope to return.

Wonderful property with everything required and more to support the 16 people we took. Swimming pool and new Spa were fantastic and internally all that was required. Having full range of Sky Sports in downstairs sitting rooms a real bonus. Will be back

We hired Abbots farm out for a get together/ birthday with 17 friends, and I have to say it is one of the best houses I have ever stayed in! The house has so much character, great facilities and was based in a lovely location. The owners were very friendly and approachable ensuring we had everything we needed but also gave us space and privacy. The facilities were brilliant with a heated pool, fantastic hot tub, games room and loads of parking. The house was very well equipped with bedding, towels, crockery and cleaning products. It even had a washing machine and tumble dryer which was very useful. It’s a perfect house for a group getaway and we intended to return in the future. 5 star recommendation!
