Hoseasons " Sitting in the hamlet of Inverlussa just 1 mile south of Achnamara this spacious and very comfortable property’s contemporary design and a first floor living area with roof window makes the most of views over the hills and Loch Sween to the Isle of Jura. The loch is ideal for sailing and fishing and the pretty harbour village of Crinan 5 miles is a lovely spot for watching boating activity. The canal tow path affords pleasant walking and cycling and there are many way-marked woodland walks in the area. Island day trips to Gigha Arran and Jura and ferries to Mull from Oban are easily accessible and Lochgilphead is a 20-minute drive away 8 miles with a selection of shops and pubs. \nGround floor Livingreading room. Achabeg is an amazing house, beautiful home with beautiful views. Jon the owner kept in touch and he's at the end of the phone if needed. Everything you require for a lovely break is provided. Thank you for our anniversary stay. We will be back.

A warm, comfortable, well equipped and well designed property. Set in a small hamlet down a single track road it's the perfect place to retreat from the daily hustle and bustle. A number of forestry commission walking routes nearby gives opportunities for getting out into the fresh Scottish air. And if the weather is too Scottish to be out in, there's plenty of games, books, CD's and Dvd's in the property to keep you busy. The welcome pack from the owners was a nice surprise. If you want a get away from it all holiday, Achabeg is the place for you.

It’s rare to find a holiday house that you want to keep going back to, but Achabeg is exactly that. We have had two amazing holidays there so far and are already booked for a third. The house Is beautifully decorated and equipped to a very high standard. The gable wall of glass and the skylights give a wonderful light and Achabeg has all the comforts of home, but much better views!! In a remote location, overlooking Loch Sween it is tranquil, but teeming with wildlife. Highlights for us were seeing a Badger up close most nights (and also a Fox cub on a number of evenings during the summer) and the Northern Lights over the loch. If you can force yourself out of this amazing house, there is so much of interest in the close area - Kilmartin Glen, Crinan Canal, Castle Sween, Kilmory Chapel and Beach and lots of lovely forest walks. We could not recommend a holiday in Achabeg more highly!

A beautiful place to relax for the week, spacious, warm and comfortable. A little more remote than expected.......half an hour drive to nearest amenities. Lovely for walks, beautiful views through those huge windows and plenty of wildlife to watch out for including the nightly badger. The weather was particularly bad during our stay and we struggled to find things to do as walking was not quite so enjoyable, but as our main need was to relax the cottage suited our needs. An upgrade on the TV would be a bonus....! Overall loved it.....felt at home very quickly.

A wonderful building in gorgeous countryside. The house itself is light and has spectacular views. The bed and sofas are comfy. The kitchen is well equipped. There is nothing missing at all that you'd want. It is rural, the nearest decent shop is in Lochgilphead, around 15 minute drive so stock up. However, there is so much to explore locally. If you like walking, exploring, peace and tranquility but staying in comfort....this is the place for you.

Achabeg is a thoughtfully designed, ultra modern cottage which maximises the natural light and amazing views. It is set in a truly tranquil, peaceful and unspoiled location. If you really want to get away from it all & relax, in a 5 star location with dark skies, fabulous views and resident badgers, bats and a plethora of other wildlife then book this cottage. I cannot recommend the cottage highly enough.
