Travel cot and highchair.\n\n Enclosed lawned garden with sitting-out area and garden furniture. Bikeequipment store. Private parking for 1 car. No smoking. \n\n Acorn Cottage is a single storey detached cottage situated in a quiet no through lane. It is within easy walking distance of Conon Bridge and makes an ideal accessible base for exploring the Highlands. The village of Conon Bridge has most amenities a good selection of small shops pub restaurant and cafés.\n\nThe cottage has an attractive good-sized living room with welcoming soft furnishings and there is a small but well equipped kitchen with dining table and a prettily presented double bedroom. The petite garden at the rear of the property is a real delight. Accessed through the gate immediately to the left of the front door this sheltered sun-trap garden has a small lawn with outside dining table and chairs surrounded by tubs and flowering plants. There is a shed available for bikes and other holiday equipment.\n\nThe beautiful River Conon provides wonderful walks along the riverbank only a moment away from the cottage. The Highland capital of Inverness is just a short drive away. This delightful city has a wonderful variety of fine restaurants bars shops and cafés as well as museums art galleries theatre and cinemas. Flowing through the centre is the River Ness a wonderful river with riverside walks and parks to meander and explore.\n\nThe nearby Black Isle is well worth a visit with its charming fishing villages and unspoilt sandy beaches. And of course it is home to the resident bottle-nosed dolphins which frequent these waters. A trip to Loch Ness is must with the ruins of the imposing Urquhart Castle on the loch side. Conon Bridge is also convenient for trips to the west with Ullapool and Skye both within an easy day’s drive. Beach 15 miles. Shop 200 yards pub and restaurant ½ mile. Beautifully decorated and immaculately clean cottage and garden. Everything you need for an idyllic stay. Great base for exploring the wider area.

Lovely cottage and very dog friendly. We had a relaxing break and nice dog walks. Lovely welcome pack very thoughtful.

You should be aware that though this cottage offers WiFi it is censered. Sites you may wish to visit that do not conform to the owners clear Christian sensibilities are blocked. This in my opinion is not offering broadband. Otherwise the cottage is great and though I will not use this cottage again I want to come back as the scenary is awesome, the people very friendly and the scenery is awesome. I would suggest a decent meal out should be taken in Inverness as local restaurants severely disappointed. Conon Bridge has suffered several infrastructure problems in the recent past most notably the hotel/restaurant in close walking distance. If you do not mind being censered this is a great place to stay, be aware you will need to put in the miles to visit all the places that are good to see. Do not miss Ullapool on the west coast, beautiful.

Largely as described, some dissapointment with local amenities, garden very small and no direct access from house.

The cottage was located in a village near Dingwall which offers all shopping and grocery needs. In Conon Bridge they had Two small shops offered all essentials, but no pubs or clubs to spoil the tranquility. The cottage was very clean and a small starter pack made arrival very pleasant. If you want to have quiet unspoiled break go for it
