Excellent location beautiful scenery. Owners very helpful. Would have scored all 10’s if the fridge had been working. The owner did say they were waiting for a repair man to come and look at it. I would not hesitate to recommend this property and we will go back at some point

Superb location with the most beautiful views all around. If you don't like remoteness and single track roads and lanes, it is not for you. We loved it!! No issues at all with the equipment at the lodge, lovely hot powerful shower, mega large comfy bed and all you need for meal prep and cooking. Just the very small and not very cold fridge is not ideal but was not an issue for us. Power via generator which was very simple to operate. Overall a real `gem` and feel privileged to have stayed in such relaxing, clean and comfortable lodge. Thank you so much :)

Amazing setting, gorgeous cottage. The only negative is the fridge, there have been so many comments about the fridge. Take a good cooler bag. Other than that small thing, a fabulous cottage.

no hot water, fridge didn't work, cooker didn't work. remote control for generator didn't work. microwave very dirty and patio furniture broken. Absolutely beautiful spot but needs a lot of attention before it becomes a good place for a break

We had such a peaceful time at the cottage, the building was so pretty and the location was perfect! A couple of things could have been tweaked to make it excellent, no welcome pack of any sort which is standard everywhere else we have stayed. One toilet roll and the fridge was rubbish! But it was a well reserved rest!

Fabulous stay !! We would highly recommend - a complete get-away-from-it-all holiday. Complete battery recharge in this location amongst the countryside and forest. Our 1st holiday with the dog - who enjoyed it the most. Generator for electricity wasn't ideal but we knew about it before arrival so not a problem. Rocky and narrow road to property also advertised but wouldn't go with a low-slung sports car! Was bliss to go without a TV for a few days also but if you like need WIFI and TV then not for you I'm afraid. We would definitely return again.

this is the second time we have been to the cottage we love the location but could be too isolated for some people. the cottage seemed warmer this time and looked fresher. The only small negative is the fridge is really too small and not very cold. We will visit again probably in the summer.

A fabulous location to escape for some peace and quiet. Great walks right on the door step and perfect for those visitors with dogs. The views over the valley towards the sea are amazing. This secluded little gem is tucked way in to the hillside at the end of an access road. Glad we had a 4x4 to get up there though!! Pro's: Location, views, cleanliness, Walking on doorstep, comfort and seclusion. Con's: Fridge is not great, it gets cold - depending on time of year. (heating works off a generator and you turn this off at night so no heating in the morning). Pub not really local due to the nature of the roads to get to it! Essentials to remember if you go: Fire lighter / kindling for log burner ( one day supply of logs given), torch, a good book and a dog!!

We have stayed at this cottage 3 times now. It is a wonderful place for a real 'get away from it all' holiday. It has everything you need in the way of equipment, is comfortable and warm when the wood burner is going (we were there in winter). It is also a very good place for dogs - walks straight from the cottage. I would certainly recommend it to others.
