The owners at Solent Haven Glamping converted their 1957 Vintage Airstream as a pandemic project and drove it across the USA, and then bought it by boat to Southampton. Now situated on the Solent overlooking the Isle of Wight with direct access to the lovely, secluded beach and next to a tranquil lake. This unique accommodation offers one super kingsize bed and one table conversion bed, a bathroom with shower, wash basin and toilet, fully functional kitchen, plus a barbecue on the decking. Solent Haven Glamping is part of the owner’s property and has a separate vehicle entrance with complete privacy for guests.
Situated on the England Coast Path, the site is ideal for dog owners with lovely walks from the beach to Titchfield Haven National Nature Reserve, or the other way towards Warsash through the Hook Lake Nature Reserve. Inland there is the local nature reserve - Warsash Common or Hamble River. There are many other outdoor activities including sailing, fishing, cycling or visiting Calshot Activities Centre. For food there are great pubs in Warsash, Hamble or Titchfield. You can also walk to the local Nook & Cranny in the picturesque Hook village for a coffee & cake.
If you are looking for more urban activities then you can visit the nearby cities of Winchester, Portsmouth or Southampton, or take the ferry to the Isle of Wight. Portsdown Hill, a chalk ridge that overlooks Portsmouth, is just a 25-minute drive from the property and provides a stunning viewpoint over the city, the harbour and the Isle of Wight. For a spot of shopping, Whiteley Shopping Centre just a 20-minute drive away and has a host of well-known high-street retailers, an array of dining restaurants and a multiplex cinema.
