The farmhouse was a great size for a large group. The bedrooms were all lovely, beds were comfortable. The hot tub definitely needs a new cover and should’ve been checked and topped up every day so we only used the hot tub on the first night. Not enough water and wasn’t warm enough due to the cover not doing it’s job. The lounges definitely need more lighting not enough lamps which would give a cosier feel. Overall though we had a good time at Airyhemming farm

We were a large group of 10 looking for a remote cottage for a surprise birthday. The cottage was amazing! It had plenty of space for me an my family, had beautiful views and gardens and the hot tub was an added bonus which holds more than 6 in my opinion. Stuart the owner was always there if we needed help with anything and even popped in to say high. We were welcomed with Prosecco and shortbread and where left to enjoy ourself for the long weekend. Cannot recommend the cottage any more!!

Needs a lot of work, very tired looking. Hot tub is dirty and has a leak. Nice big house and with a wee bit of effort and attention could be great. Shame about hot tub as kids only got one night in it and then lost half of water and water turned green !

Whilst every thing with the property was as we expected it would be really helpful if guests could be reminded that they need to bring matches, kindling, fire lighters & mitten for open/closing stove door. A reminder to bring a torch would be useful as no lighting /not on, so getting to/from car at night (especially in winter months) and for those with disabilities/unsteady on feet and need to see where they are going. The room with real fire is obviously extremely well used and carpet could do with clean & good hoover. We tried to do some hoovering but neither hoover was any use really. On the whole, the property could be improved with a big deep clean to get on top of cob webs & kitchen sink could see some bleach. Some new bedding & new cushions on sofas would add to the feeling of the place being refreshed. Glass in oven door isn't secure & when hot isn't particularly safe & could shatter. Light in downstairs toilet isn't working, so at night isn't really useable without a torch. A welcome pack would be a bonus giving information about bins, recycling, aga, heating, topping up hot tub, logs, local pubs, local shop etc etc. Lights along path to hot tub / some fairy lights outside would be wonderful.

Airyhemming is our Favourite place to go on holiday, we stayed at the smaller house last year which was perfect for the 4 of us, this year we stayed in the bigger farm house, there was 9 of us. We had a fantastic time, the scenery is stunning, perfect for star gazing, and relaxing. The guys went fishing and had a great time and caught some fish, perfect for walking too. We have a 9 month old baby and she had so much space to crawl around. Only thing I would say is a few things need fixing, but this didn't effect our holiday at all. Will definitely be staying here again.
