So there are a few negatives to start with, the property will not to be to everyone’s taste with some derelict farm buildings on its boundaries. The owner really could pay a little more attention to detail as some cosmetic issues need addressing. The sky tv was switched off but the owner neglected to provide a tv aerial connection so if you want to watch tv, you are out of luck. However the accommodation is comfortable and has a lovely enclosed garden with a hot tub that is lovely on a warm sunny evening ( minus the infamous Scottish midges if possible). Spacious accommodation with a choice of bedrooms, lovely living and dining space, kitchen is spacious and a good standard oven, hob and huge fridge freezer if you want to cook yourself. Loved the log burner Lovely riverside walk a couple of miles from the property down towards a secluded bay, a local abbey ruins @2 miles away, again a lovely walk. So peaceful, easy access to many local attractions, quaint villages and bays. Recommend the steam packet pub at isle of Whithorn, dog friendly, amazing food and friendly service all overlooking a beautiful harbour and bay

Had a lovely week at Airyhemming cottage, was lovely and Cosey with lots to do and see. Only downfall was the broken shower in main bathroom, shower quality is quite weak, to make it more luxurious a power shower would be great!

We thoroughly enjoyed our break at Airyhemming Dairy. I was concerned after reading previous reviews. No way had they stayed at the same cottage. The downstairs shower room was never cold nor did it have a hole in the wall. There was no issue with the hot water or the heating. The house was lovely and cosy. We had lovely fresh fluffy towels throughout all rooms. The out buildings are in need of renovation, however they have restricted access. You would tell any children to play in the big back garden. The hot tub was fabulous, very clean. How often do you get a games room yet people feel they have to complain or make negative comment. The internet went offline and the owner could not have done more than he did to sort it. Lovely property in a beautiful setting. Definitely be back. Forgot to mention the bags of logs and kindling that were left much appreciated.
