Visit England 4 Star Visit Britain Gold awarded property.\n\n White Moss is one of our 5 historic buildings designed by Augustus AWN Pugin to let on The Terrace in Windermere. The house sleeps up to 12 in 5 bedrooms and is a slightly different offering from our other houses on The Terrace. Downstairs there’s a sumptuous lounge with seating for 15 people the room has a wood burning stove and large flat screen TV. The dining room is quite regal with large table seating 11. The room also has a wood burning stove. The kitchen is hand made solid pine with 2 oven Aga and all the usual appliances. Opposite the kitchen is a utility room with washing machine and dryer plus extra fridge and freezer space. It’s a great space for muddy boots and wet dogs. Finally there’s a down stairs toilet. On the first floor there are 4 bedrooms. Bedroom 1 is a king size 4 poster. Bedroom 2 is a cosy single. Bedroom 3 is a  king size. Bedroom 4 is a twin with an extra day-bed. There is a shower room with toilet and sink and a bathroom with shower over bath and toilet. Located on the second floor bedroom 5 is has 4 single beds also on this floor is a statement bathroom with free standing bath toilet and sink. White Moss is a great house for up to 11 people close to the heart of Windermere. We stayed in White Moss on my hen do and we absolutely loved our stay, can't fault it really. The only downside was the pillows on the beds could do with being replaced as they weren't very full of stuffing. The house was spotless, beautiful and had a great feel to it. Everything in Windermere was a short walk away and the bars in Bowness on Windermere were a 5 min taxi ride. I will be recommending this house to group/family wanting to have a weekend away in Windermere.

A perfect location, a gorgeous cottage with everything and more you need to have an enjoyable stay. The hot tub is luxurious, kitchen has everything you need, the log fire is cosy. We all enjoyed our stay and will be returning.

We were a party of four couples and a child under 3. The cottage worked extremely well for us, the bedrooms were roomy and comfortable, the living areas provided great communal space and the kitchen was extremely well equipped. We did not have to buy anything except food and drink. The hot tub in the back garden is by the road but it was still used every day even though it is not a very discreet spot. It is located very close to the station and Booths supermarket and within a short 5 to 10 minute walk of Windermere's shops, pubs and restaurants. Overall I would recommend this for anyone looking for a large comfortable holiday let in a very convenient location.

Really enjoyed our stay here it was perfect for our large family group. Only a 5-10 minutes walk down into the village with plenty of little shops and places to eat. Then a short drive takes you down into bowness on Windermere and to the lake. Booths round the corner was a nice little shop to visit for supplies.

Location location location x this cottage is comfortable and pleasant - the single bedroom is tiny and does not allow for anywhere to hang clothes or move around comfortably. Cottage very expensive but the location is second to none. Our neighbours partied till late which could have been a problem for some but wasn't for us. Settees in lounge need cushions replacing as it was uncomfortable. Configuration of bedrooms wouldn't work for everyone but was fine for us but yes, some of our party missed having en-suite facilities Hot tub was fabulous!

A good base for a family holiday, very handy for supermarket. Next to main road so outside sitting area not ideal as no afternoon/evening sun and v noisy. Furniture/ beds dated. Crockery generally needed cleaning before use. Lacked drying facility ( washing line or clothes horse). BBQ not used as left dirty from previous occupant.With neighbouring properties also available would be good for large group use. Excellent weather the week we were there which meant the Aga being on made for a very hot kitchen. No welcome pack which we have previously generally been given.
