We had an excellent stay at Alice Howe. Found the house to be well equipped, comfortable and clean. Second time we have stayed at The Terrace properties in Windermere and loved it once again. Also found the house well situated for amenities and attractions. Would recommend to others and consider coming back in the future.

We are a large family with adult children. The cottage was spacious, clean and very well equipped. Located just on the edge of the village, literally next door to the train station. A great supermarket Booths was just beside us which stays open until 10pm. Full of delicious goodies and all our cooking ingredients. Everything was lovely. The only slight grumble would be the size of some of the showers. We are quite large sized people and some of the shower cubicles were a bit challenging! But overall a wonderful stay!

Excellent base for a short break with girl friends. There are a good amount of bathrooms, all functional, and the location of the house was very convenient. The lounge was especially lovely for evening. We had a fantastic weekend and would stay again.

Alice Howe was an excellent base for our family gathering of three generations. House is great - particularly the kitchens and bedrooms. Super to have so many bedrooms with bathrooms that give family members privacy as well as time together in the lounge and kitchen. Windermere was a great location for us all: and Alice Howe is brilliantly located for bus and train journeys, and a mile + walk into Bowness was easy with pushchairs. There are 3 bedrooms that back on to main A591 and they are noisy even with the windows closed - that did impact on some of us sleep wise. However we were aware of this owing to other reviews and that was helpful. For us not having to use the car on a daily basis was a huge plus. Would definitely recommend for family gatherings.

Stunning house, perfect for big family get-togethers, 7 bedrooms each with their own bathroom allows everyone privacy whilst having plenty of communal areas to get together. Perfect location close to town and amenities and also great walks from the door, which meant there was plenty to do for all members of our party. We would highly recommend.
