It has been lovingly and thoughtfully converted to offer very welcoming holiday accommodation retaining many original features including exposed oak beams and trusses. The barn shares a multi-sports court for mini tennis badminton and football as well as a fantastic indoor heated swimming pool. The swimming pool is available for exclusive use for the five barns on-site and booking slots are available throughout the day booked on your arrival. The swimming pool is open all year round but opening times may vary. A woodland picnic area lies a short walk away from your barn and there is a fantastic enclosed toddler play area available for children under 6 years. Internationally renowned for its clock production dating back to the 1650s Whitchurch is known as ’the Home of Tower Clocks’ and a fine example can be seen on one of the barns. There are many excellent shops pubs and restaurants in the town which is perfectly placed for touring all of Shropshire North Wales and Cheshire. Attractions close by include Ellesmere with its beautiful lakes 11 miles a variety of National Trust mansions and gardens and the historical city of Chester with its excellent shopping and famous races 25 miles with the Blue Planet Aquarium close by. Had a great stay and was made very welcome.

Emma's dairy was clean, comfortable, well equipped with some lovely personal touches. The history of the farm and the conversion of the buildings was very interesting. Local businesses were well signposted and looked to be of good quality. The building itself was quirky but quite modern in its décor. When we got lost on the way a short friendly phone call put us on the right road. I would loved to have stayed longer and explored more of the surrounding area.

    Garden very small

The cottage itself is beautiful and spacious and has everything you might need. We had a party of 6 with the 2 youngest being 3 and 8 months! The kids play area only had 1 toy suitable for the 3 year old as the rest she was too big for so she was limited with what she could play with but the rest of the facilities such as the pool and sports area made up for it! We were lucky that only 1 other cottage was occupied during our stay so it was really quiet, a home from home. We would definitely stay again just maybe one of the bigger cottages just because they looked even more beautiful inside

A beautiful cottage. Very homely and very well equipped. Beds very comfortable. Set in a lovely but remote area. WiFi not good at all, but suppose that you have to expect it being in the middle of nowhere ! (albeit only 2 miles from Whitchurch). Loved the use of the indoor pool and there is a lovely walk to the canal. Thank you James for your ideas of where to go and we did everything !

Was very nice place. The only thing I would say is that the swimming pool booking board needs to be monitored a little more? As one cottage booked for the whole week which wasn’t allowed and so we couldn’t always get a time. The other thing was I didn’t understand why the cottage place called us about our dogs? They were in the cottage that took dogs and went nowhere else? So I didn’t understand why I got a call saying the other cottage had allergies? That had nothing to do with us? Our dogs weren’t nowhere near anyone else? And they were never left alone. So I wasn’t too happy about that.
