The Apple Store is situated in an area of the owner’s large grounds and the owner keeps dogs which you may meet when walking to and from the cottage. A short drive away is historic Bury St Edmunds and Newmarket for a day at the races. The beach at Felixstowe is 45 minutes away whilst the Suffolk coastal resorts of Southwold and Aldeburgh are an hour’s drive away.     The cottage is a great retreat in a pretty village with good transport links. Welcoming hosts. Clean and well equipped. What more could you ask for??

    The Old Apple Store is a perfect location for visiting areas around Bury St Edmunds. Elmswell is very convenient, just off the A14 and 10 minutes from Bury. There is a railway station 5 minutes walk from the cottage. There's loads of local leaflets and travel information available in the cottage. The Apple Store is quite small but it is very clean, warm, cosy, well-equipped and very comfortable. The windows look out over the back garden which is very pretty and lots of birds around on the feeders. The owner Clare welcomed us with a nice bottle of wine! There is a good Co-op 2 minutes' walk away for groceries and the local pub does excellent Thai takeaways. Excellent.
