This character cottage has recently been renovated throughout but still retains its sense of history keeping a lot of its original features. No expense has been spared by the owner and guests are ensured of perfection throughout with a lovely touch of quirkiness. Entrance is gained into the comfortable and cosy living area instantly giving you that cottage feel and a great place to relax after a day exploring.
On the same floor you have a well presented, well equipped vintage retro kitchen which is a real feature of the property. Up a flight of stairs, there two good sized bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with a king size, both bedrooms have kept all their charm and are beautifully decorated and furnished. The stylish bathroom is located on the ground floor which boasts a shower cubicle and heated towel rail. To the rear of the property, you have a perfect enclosed garden which presents a wonderful seating area giving you a great place to sit out, kick back and enjoy a well-earned glass of fizz in the summer sun, or you can take the shade under the stunning ancient apple tree!
Apple Tree Cottage is well placed for access to both Knaresborough and the fashionable spa town of Harrogate meaning you have so much to do with both having fantastic restaurants, cafés, pubs, and shops. Knaresborough itself has its own castle with grounds to walk around which are pretty spectacular, but first admire the breath-taking view of the viaduct before walking down the straggling steps to Waterside. Here you will find the riverside promenade dotted with cafés, and rowing boats that you can hire out along the river Nidd.
Let’s not forget that Knaresborough is set perfectly in between the Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors meaning there is plenty of opportunities to explore what Yorkshire has to offer, with it being on foot or by bike you will always have plenty to see and investigate. Nearby towns and cities also include York and Leeds which are easily found by car and are great for all you shopaholics out there.
