No smoking. \n Lovingly restored by the owners in 2018 this delightful semi-detached cottage enjoys an elevated position close to the centre of the village yet in a quiet location. Apple Tree Cottage is just a short stroll from the village pub which serves food and drink 6 days a week closed on Mondays as well as tearooms for refreshment. Grantham is only 10 minutes’ drive away with Stamford the home of the famous Burghley Horse Trials just a 25 minute drive away both with mainline stations into London.\nLincolnshire is well known for being the Bomber County in WWII and there are many interesting sites and museums to visit. Norfolk and its sandy beaches are approximately an hour’s drive away with Rutland Water and its peninsula great for days out and long walks. Good cycle routes and walks abound in this area for those that like to explore by pedal or on foot with the village pub or the log burner in the cottage to relax in front of after an great day out.     This cottage has everything, it is beautifully presented. Lots of lovely touches such as a welcome pack , tissues by the bed etc . Great enclosed sunny garden with furniture and barbecue. The village is pretty, with a friendly local pub , the Green Man which has good pub grub. Near to Stamford and Rutland Water. Great hosts, despite the difficulties of Covid were very welcoming . Can only recommend, we hope to return soon.

    Wonderful cosy cottage in a lovely little village. Very well equipped, clean and comfortable. Enclosed garden for the dog, walks from the door and a warm welcome at the dog-friendly pub which is a 2 min walk away. A nice, relaxing break - we have already booked to come back for a week in the summer!

    Apple tree cottage is extremely well equipped with the kitchen having very good quality items. The only thing l would change is to put a new small table with chairs, as l don’t like having to sit at a breakfast bar for dinner. Alternatively there is a very friendly pub The Green Man that is a must to try, doing very good food and a warm welcome ! Although we had very bad weather we had a good time, the cottage is in a lovely area we went to the church next door for the Remembrance Day service. Would we book again, yes just a pity we didn’t get to sit in the lovely back garden. Linda & David West Yorkshire

    A wonderfully charming property in a superb location. Our hosts were very welcoming and we couldn't have asked for anything more from this lovely, very well equipped cottage. Our dog loved having access to the enclosed rear garden and we loved the fact that the local (dog friendly) pub was such a short walk away. We ate there every night of our stay and it certainly lives up to its excellent reputation. We would not hesitate in recommending this property and will certainly aim to visit again.

    This cottage is a wow, everything you need is in it, had a fantastic time, Hosts Pam and Martin where very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Local pub in village the Green Man, great place to go and eat, and dog friendly. Great place will be back.
