    Great 6 bed cottage in the centre of ambleside. Plenty of space for 5 adults (we didn’t have 6 with us!) the location was perfect for going on walks from the cottage with shops and restaurants within 15-20 metres of the front door. Really happy with the accommodation - will be staying here again.

    Lovely modern cottage, situated in the town of Ambleside. The rooms were spacious, particularly the on-suite room. Our party comprised of 6 adults and a infant and we had no complaints about the cottage.

    We had a lovely week exploring central Lake District. This was a great base and ideal location. The beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms were spotless and very modern. Looking forward to staying again.

    Second stay at Applegarth and just as excellent as the first stay 3 years ago. Great house plenty of room and storage space. Nicely decorated, lovely bathrooms especially the master suite on the top floor and comfy beds. Everything catered for in terms of facilities cutlery, crockery, cooking pans and utensils. Would happily stay again and recommend.

    Fantastic place to stay in Ambleside, everything you need and really good quality. Everything Ambleside has to offer is within a couple of minutes walk. Yes the main road is outside but the traffic dies down later on and you will be out most of the day anyway.

    Fabulous cottage in great location. Delightful modern decor. A bit awkward parking up immediately in front of the cottage as you hold up traffic which is less than ideal but you can easily park in the car park across the road and walk the 30 metres or so - just takes a little bit longer that’s all ? Can be a bit noisy from traffic if you like to sleep with window open. TV’s maybe a bit smaller than modern standards but I’m really nitpicking now and you shouldn’t want to watch tv when you’re staying in the Lakes anyway ? Overall a great place to stay.

    Absolutely fantastic house. Spotlessly clean, super modern and renovated to a really high standard. Very cosy (we only needed the heating on downstairs and the whole house stayed warm). Right in the centre of Ambleside but not aware of noise from traffic either during the day or at night. Bathrooms were especially lovely. Car park right across the street and permits provided. Front entrance up steps but back entrance up a slope so could get the pram in and out easily. Loads of equipment provided for cooking. Only tiny downside was no downstairs loo (but that’s just because we are used to one and a bit lazy!) and internet was a little bit intermittent. Otherwise no faults at all.

    The Applegarth cottage has been upgraded to luxury standard. It has everything ones needs and to a very high standard. It is very well located in the center of Ambleside. There was even a bottle of nice wine waiting for us. Highly recommend it and
