We both thought April Cottage was excellent. As it was our first visit to the Dales the location could not have been better.

Beautiful cottage exceptionally clean and in a lovely location. Has the advantage of its own private allocated parking place as access is down a very narrow lane. Very comfortable with good quality furnishings and fittings would definitely stay again

great holiday cottage, one of the best we have stayed in. ideal for the town and walking around the local area. there is a pub garden directly backing on the property and a certain amount of noise in the evening if people are sitting outside. it was not a problem for us but worth bearing in mind if you would be expecting to go to sleep before closing time. other than that its very quiet through the night, no traffic noise etc.

Another wonderful stay at April Cottage. We have fallen in love with this accommodation as it delivers such comfort and relaxation. There is everything you could want in an excellent location. A great night's sleep is guaranteed in the super king bed with the comfiest of mattresses and highest quality bedding. The lounge area is such a lovely place to relax with a glass of wine or similar. Great pubs/ cafes / restaurants to walk to in Settle and plenty to visit in the surrounding area. This is our third visit and parking was not a problem for us previously but that said the designated parking space to the left of the cottage is a definite bonus. The construction on the cottage next door is complete which has allowed for the space to come available. Looking forward to coming back in August.

Such a beautiful warm and cosy cottage, excellent for a romantic break. Decor and finish is exceptional. Very “at home” feeling with lots of nice pubs and restaurants nearby. In fact we parked up on Thursday and didn’t move the car till Monday as the walks locally and around the surrounding areas were second to none. Would highly recommend and will visit again.

Parking is a major issue particularly with the building work next door and associated work vehicles. Best to off load luggage and park at green foot car park but you need £15 in coins! Lounge in cottage cold even with the heating on.

Absolutely lovely very clean and very comfortable cottage and we would most definitely return. Loved both Settle and the surrounding areas and enjoyed days walking and took in the Settle to Carlisle railway. Excellent scenery. Lovely local pubs. The Talbot deservedly has a very good name for both food and selection of beers. Only downside was no parking at the cottage itself but it looks as though this will be sorted in the near future. You probably need to be aware that the photograph is a little misleading in that it shows not only April cottage (far side) but also the adjacent cottage giving the impression that it's bigger than it actually is BUT please also be aware that April cottage is certainly big enough for two and as mentioned previously we would most definitely return and enjoy another stay there. Definitely recommended.
