This cottage did not disappoint. The view up the valley from the rear windows was amazing and from the front of the Highland cattle, Red deer and peacocks special. The house had everything we needed, especially in the kitchen, all appropriate for a cottage in a remote part of Mull. The selection of games and puzzles and Dab radio reception were appreciated. The Estate Manger and Housekeeper were both friendly and effective. We all thoroughly enjoyed our holiday in Mull. I just need to go back for that bath with the view. I must state the roads are terrible and the weather awful - after all it would be a tragedy if Mull was too busy!

Enjoyed 7 nights here beginning of July. Very comfortable and ideal for our dog who loved all the beautiful walks surrounding the cottage. Excellent accommodation with lovely spacious garden. Only drawback were the midgies which took a liking to me but would return outwith midgie season. Well situated for visiting places around the island and just off the main road and only 15 mins from Craignure Ferry. A nice touch was the home made cake waiting for us on arrival. Would definitely recommend this holiday cottage.

A beautiful location with furnishings to match this is the perfect hideaway. Just off the beaten track with a river view from the kitchen and bedroom windows it’s one of the loveliest holiday homes we’ve stayed at. Recommended.

This is the second time that we have been back to Ardura cottage and our stay was as comfortable as the last. The photos do not do it justice because you have a lovely view from the kitchen and master bedroom towards the mountains and a view of the field from the living room where the deer come to graze. The cottage is well equipped and provides all the comfort and practical solutions for all weather conditions and there is a large selection of board games and puzzles for the evenings in front of the fire. The cottage is surrounded by an abundance of wildlife and coupled with the beauty of the nature it ticks all the boxes that a cottage on the Isle of Mull could offer. The location is also perfect if you wish to travel to both the west of the island to visit staffa and Iona or visit the North of the Island. Duart castle is a lovely place to spend some time and it is only 10- 15 minutes away. Amenities are thin on the ground but We knew that already and it didn't impact on our stay. There is a spar in Craignure but the one at Salen, a 25 minute drive away is better. We recommend stocking up at the Tesco in Oban before you cross. The Farm Manager, Neil and the caretakers are friendly and happy to help and give advice if you need it. We hope to come back again soon.
