Arrived just after New Year's day to find the house still decorated for Christmas which made it a lovely end to our Christmas break. The welcome pack in the kitchen was a nice touch, and the comfort and views from the cottage were great. We were worried about parking in advance, but the information supplied by the owner made it easy to find somewhere to park, and the walk into town was steep but enjoyable.

We had a lovely week staying at Argraig, with our two children aged 9 and 4. The cottage was clean and cosy and we felt immediately at home. The kitchen, although extremely small was very well equipped with everything we needed during our holiday, we ate in everyday and found we were wanting for nothing (other than a chopping board). We used the washer during our stay and found washing powder/conditioner and an airer provided, which was great. The walk up the steep hill from the parking on the road below was a little inconvenient but we were aware of this when booking and it was worth it for the views from the house. The bathroom door was in need of a little attention as it didn't shut properly unless locked and the blind covering the glass panel would benefit from replacement, however, this in no way affected the enjoyment of our stay. Blaenau Ffestiniog was an excellent location for visiting many places of interest in North Wales, we never had to drive more than an hour to any of the places we chose to visit and even managed a couple of days without using the car when we went on the Ffestiniog railway, the slate caverns and went on a local walk. I would happily stay here again and would recommend to friends.

Lovely clean cottage , parking a issue yes your told about the many steps up to the door but you have to park down the bottom of 2 steep hills and you can't always find a place , but the views from the cottage are stunning and it's a good base to explore snowdonia and other areas .

We had a fabulous week at Argraig and was a perfect base for exploring Snowdonia. There was a lovely welcome basket which included something for the children and even our dog! The hill up to the cottage is very steep but this was no big surprise to us knowing the area. A really comfortable stay. Would definitely go back.

Absolutely lovely. Owners were really welcoming to all of us. They even left a treat for our dogs. Would absolutely recommend?

Great location for getting about. The house was perfect for what we needed. Lovely to have some welcome treats from our hosts and plenty of info. Parking a bit awkward but didn’t stop us having a fantastic time.

Prepare your Oxygen bottles! This house is on the second terrace above the high street and the roads to the house are 'steep!' However, it's worth it. The views of the Blaenau Ffestiniog hills are magnificent. We found the property clean, warm and spacious. It was very central being close to the high street with a Co-Op, Pharmacy, pet shop and a number of restaurants. It is also convenient to explore south, west and northeast, Betws-Y-Coed only 14 miles away and Porthmadog similarly. Great place for walkers and bikers. The house was well equipped, but gents, if you are an electric razor user, take a converter as all the plugs are standard 13A. We were welcomed with a basket of goodies which was a nice touch. Had a great time there, hope to return in the future
