No smoking. \n\n Arnaval is a large modern detached house situated in the quiet hamlet of Davidston amidst open fields in the county of Ross-shire. This beautifully presented family home is ideally located for exploring the historic Black Isle peninsula and Highland region. Named after a Hebridean mountain Arnaval is just 2½ miles from Cromarty renowned for being the best preserved historic town in the Highlands. There is a large kitchendining room with patio doors leading out to the lawned gardens that surround the property. It is very well-equipped with built-in units and integral appliances. The main living room has large picture windows overlooking the gardens with open fields beyond. It is tastefully furnished throughout with solid wood flooring contributing to its sense of character. There is a sitting room ideal for larger families and groups to spread out. A staircase from the living room leads up to the first floor where you will find two spacious double bedrooms one with an en-suite shower room as well as a twin bedroom and single bedroom. The family-sized bathroom makes Arnaval ideal for families holidaying together and groups of friends. The integral garage acts as a games room with a pool table and storage available for bikes and outdoor gear.\nThe surrounding area is noted for its wildlife. The nearby Udale RSPB Nature Reserve is well-known by bird watchers and wildlife enthusiasts with many interesting and unusual species spotted throughout the season. And of course the famous resident bottle-nosed dolphins are regularly seen along the coastline of the Cromarty Firth. The hamlet of Davidston is home to the Cromarty Brewery one of the best craft breweries in the north of Scotland and well worth a stroll along the lane to visit. For the energetic there are superb purpose-built mountain bike trails just a few minutes’ drive away at Learnie Red Rock where all abilities are catered for and offering wonderful views from the top. The charming town of Cromarty poised on the top of the Black Isle is 5 minutes away. Here there are a number of historic places of interest including the old courthouse and museum. Small winding cobbled streets add to its charm and ambience. There is a good selection of shops pubs and restaurants here as well as a thriving harbour with boat trips to view the dolphins and other sea life closer to hand. The Black Isle has superb sandy beaches dotted along the coastline interspersed by pretty unspoilt fishing villages. It is also easily accessible to Inverness the capital of the Highlands just 30 minutes away. Loch Ness Culloden battlefield and Fort George are just a few of the many interesting places to visit. Fishing golf sailing kayaking hillwalking and wildlife watching are all local pastimes. Beach 5¼ miles. Shop pub and restaurant 2½ miles.     We were 6 adults staying at arnaval house we never felt crowded as the property is very well proportioned during the day we explored the Black Isle and in the evening we enjoyed relaxing with drinks at the house we would definitely book again

    Spacious, clean and well equipped cottage in a lovely location overlooking Cromarty and the Firth. The Black Isle is a lovely area for a family break, and we will certainly consider returning.

    Beautiful, spacious, comfortable house. Everything you needed, and very clean and tidy. Peaceful setting, and wi-fi worked very well also. Would definitely recommend Arnaval to anyone seeking a peaceful, quiet setting. Would definitely re book.

    Excellent! Couldn’t fault this place! On the way there fantastic scenic views on the Black Isle. The cottage exceeded expectations at every turn even better than photos. So well equipped, even had lovely garden furniture, washing up liquid, washing powder, hand wash everything you need! Beds very comfortable (so much so we went to ikea and bought a similar mattress when we got home). There is a friendly brewery a few yards away and location is secluded and quiet lots of parking. Took the dogs and they loved it as lots of outside space to run around. Lovely little hamlets such as Rosemarkie and Auoch (great fish and chips) and chancery point to see dolphins. Cromarty is a quaint little village with a nice beach. Convenient for Inverness about a 15 min drive and lots of attractions such as Loch Ness , Culloden and Clara cairns. The locals are all super friendly and helpful Had a thoroughly enjoyable holiday. Thank you to the owners for such a great holiday home from home. Will definitely go there again so impressed!!*****
