    A beautiful cottage in a gorgeous setting, Arndale cottage was the perfect place to stay to explore the Lake District. The cottage was so clean and comfortable - and huge ! We loved the gardens & little stream, and came home to a deer in the garden one evening, which was really special. Arndale is well positioned - peaceful and secluded as it is away from the busy tourist spots, but close enough for day trips to Bowness, Ambleside, Windermere and the surrounding countryside and lakes. Trips to Beatrix Potter's home 'Hilltop', the World of Beatrix Potter attraction, the fascinating National Trust property of 'Townend', steam train to Haverthwaite and boat trips on Windermere are not to be missed !!
