A quaint cottage in the centre of the village, it’s well equipped and very clean. The local residents are really friendly. The village has three coffee shops all serving food and three pubs serving superb food and excellent value. Tideswell and Ash Cottage are really lovely 😊

A very good clean cottage which had everything that we needed. The cottage is in a very convenient location with shops and pubs/restuarants very close and easy parking. Tideswell is a great base from which to explore the whole of the Peak District, would definitely stay here again.

Exactly what we wanted. Walks from the doorstep. Little village to walk around and get bits and pieces from. Close to lots of places we wanted to visit. Great cottage. Would definitely recommend.

Unfortunately the house was not clean,it had not even had a basic hoover throughout, the toilet seat was dirty, the bin in the courtyard had not been emptied, there was what appeared to be vomit on the bed frame, litter in the bedroom, sticky crumbs on the table, and a filthy non stick bath mat. We told the contact we had been given, who said they would return to clean the house properly the next day. They returned and cleaned the bed frame and that was it so we had to accept staying in a dirty house as we were not happy to give them a third attempt to do what should have been the basics. The location was good and we enjoyed our stay nonetheless.

A cosy cottage with several local pubs serving food. Great location. A couple of small moans which drove us mad - very uncomfortable sofa and bathroom taps need sorting ASAP. We would go again though.

Overall a very nice cottage, in a good location. The following minor issues all very easy to rectify. Too much clutter in cottage, hard to find storage space for non refrigerated food. Too many plates in kitchen, but no mixing bowls and lacking good cookware (e.g. clean baking trays) and cooking knives very blunt. Bed linen could be improved, also lacks a mattress protector for the double bed. Some areas quite dirty, e.g. under bed etc.

Great place to stay area wise . The cottage itself was lovely , but the water pressure and bath upstairs were inadequate! You had to get in the bath to turn on the taps etc it also took an age to fill the bath. Other then that very good all round , but the time of year the weather !!

very nice cottage in an excellent location, but you will need to take everything with you. No hand soap very little washing up liquid or toilet roll and not even a bread knife, let alone a few kitchen condiments which would would have taken it from a nice cottage to an excellent welcoming cottage. Local amenities were good, especially the Horse and Jockey public house who were dog friendly with good food, and some excellent walks nearby.

Beautifully furnished. Reasonably well equipped but no bread knife, so no point in buying artisan bread available. Lovely and warm on arrival. Comfortable bed. ‘Welcome” pack consisted of a small amount of washing up liquid and ONE toilet roll. Not a single teabag, or a grain of sugar. One well used saucepan scourer, no J cloth. No toiletries. We stay in good quality self catering properties at least theee times a year and have never come across such stinginess.
