Nestled in the heart of Devonshire countryside this privately owned country estate boasts a selection of cottages of varying sizes just waiting to be enjoyed.
Sleeping from 4 to 28 people (refs: HDDE, HGGL, HHX, HJJD, HHY, HNNF, HHZ, HJA), this makes for a wonderful opportunity to enjoy a relaxing break with family or for larger groups looking for a base for that special occasion in glorious surroundings. A shared indoor heated swimming pool is very close to the properties (apart from HGGL which is 1 mile away and has its own pool), sauna and indoor and outdoor playgrounds are also available.
The cottages are well presented and have been lovingly maintained throughout. All have leather suites and either Italian tiled or wooden floors, and some even boast oak beams. For that extra special treat an in house chef is also available for hire.
Exploring the area will uncover lots of opportunities including Ashcombe outdoor activity centre (chargeable), offering paintballing, archery, fishing and quad biking for over 14’s. Outdoor, hands on activities can also be enjoyed at the camp in the woods where trained staff teach youngsters how to light fires, search for bugs and build shelters. Outside adventure also waits at Dartmoor National Park, which is easily accessible. Explore on foot or bicycle, an ideal way to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
The city of Exeter is only 20 minutes by car with its selection of museums, art galleries and plenty of shopping opportunities while the coast provides beaches, coastal walks and lovely scenery.
Admire the fishing boats at Beer or the water sports at Salcombe. There truly is so much to enjoy.
The good selection of theme parks and zoos the area provides will be sure to keep children entertained and the well-known Eden Project is within an hours’ drive.
