Very clean property, owner leaves you alone to enjoy your stay. Near to be and amenities. Only downside I found the bed uncomfortable but that could just be my personal opinion. enjoyed our stay

Lovely everything we needed, but no drawers in bedroom to pack things away, no bathroom cabinet in bathroom, nowhere to put bits & pieces, garden secure except gate which had a big gap at bottom, no good for little dogs like one of mine, too interested in getting through so had to barricade it. Had to walk quite a distance for some milk, need a shop closer, also took me 5 goes to reverse out through gate, I’m an hopeless reverser, but on the whole excellent value for money

The lodge is located behind the house access is poor and is impossible when guests in house take control of driveway meaning parking is against palisade fence on dirt road. The access gate is homemade decking on a jockey wheel and latch is broken. Welcome pack was not good no maiden to dry clothes. no teapot. no egg cups. no drawers for clothes had to take out of case.frying pan needs replacing This might sound awful but these things matter if these small things were put right I would recommend it.

It was smaller than we thought no real space for clothes to be unpacked. The cottage was clean and had what we needed. Although close to the railway the trains did not disturb us. The location was ideal for us as a base to see North Wales but there was no real beach to sit on and no where to get a decent meal just convenient foods.

Enjoyed our stay at Ashover Lodge. Although we were only there for 2 nights we seen plenty and liked the beach. It was ideal for our needs, 2 adults and a small dog, but feel it may have been crowded if there were any more. Not sure we seen the 'Welcome Pack', however, we did bring tea bags etc. to ensure we were okay. As a suggestion the main entrance gateway could have had some form of barrier at the bottom of the gate as our dog could easily get under it. Not arriving before 4pm is a little late as most of your day is gone...maybe 2pm would be a better choice. All-in-all a most enjoyable stay. Thank you.

The property is compact well equipped and was clean and comfortable. It is situated to the rear of the adjoining holiday let access via private drive and gate. Parking was no issue and we do have a large car an Outlander yes with a little care. Our first impression was the bed might be uncomfortable as in a previous review however we found it comfortable enough to get a good nights sleep. It is near the railway and you can hear the trains but again it wasn't an issue. Nice area to sit out but the weather was a little cold. Good heating system, easy to operate shower in a spacious bathroom. It was a good touring base. Smart Tv was useful for Netfix, and there was WiFi available overall a enjoyable holiday. We had no issues and did not need to contact the owner.

Ashover Lodge is a nice looking small cottage. It is located in a back garden of someone’s house and overlooked by residents of three other properties. To top this off it’s surrounded by camping sites and trailers and at a very close proximity to a rail line. Trains were not overly disturbing, but you can cartainly hear them and I would not call it a peaceful retreat. It was difficult to find the property, you literally have to go through a narrow driveway on the side of someone’s house to get to it, watch out for your mirrors! There were all colour of car paints on the sides proving just how narrow the space is. The owner was really helpful and responsive in guiding us to finding the property and expceptiinally responsive at fixing the wi fi when it did not work. We werent dissapointed with the property itself it was clean and practical. But finishing touches and basics were missing. Bed was uncomfortable to a point where you could feel springs digging into your back and facilities were pretty basic for the price charged. Property was really cold when we walked in and took a while to warm up. Basic utensils missing eg. whisk or kitchen towel. Whilst small packets of cereals were left out for us on our arrival to enjoy there was no milk, sugar or even salt. The owner was very helpful when contacted which made up for some shortcomings.
