Tranquil location and ideally suited to a large family gathering and full of character. Adequately equipped kitchen (cooked a roast lunch for 12) and large comfortable lounge to seat all, (including cosy log fire) with an intriguing and extensive library to browse. Beautiful views of the loch from the house front with extensive grounds to explore. Flexible sleeping arrangements for adults and children. We found it an ideal base to explore the surrounding area. Highly recommend.

The house is ideal for a large family group. Plenty to do for the kids in the house and around the estate. The free range eggs provided by the hosts were the best I've ever tasted. We walked, cycled, fed the horses, played cricket and rounders on the large walled lawn. Not to forget the breath taking views around the local area. All in all a fabulous holiday none of us will ever forget.

Although it needs a little updating, this house lovely and its grounds are beautiful. Its a spacious house with lots of facilities. Its remote location is great for a bit of r n r but it's still close enough to Lochgilphead and tourist attractions. I loved staying here.

We had an amazing holiday in this beautiful house and grounds. The house is well equipped, with plenty of space and wonderful views. It is fairly remote, but that suited us and we found plenty of things to do and see. Our dogs loved the garden and holiday. The owners were very helpful and friendly.

We have now stayed at Auchinellan three times, each time for a different occasion. It's cosy comfy atmosphere allows you to completely relax. The stunning views are breathtaking and the grounds are perfect for walking the dogs and children. A little out of the way but that's what we wanted. Clean comfortable beds and plenty of room for everyone. We will definitely be returning. Post code not quite right for the last mile might want to use a map not sat nav.

A large house which as great for our family birthday, it could have been cleaner. Food left in containers lots of dead spiders around the windows. This didn't worry us as we had four dogs and there is nothing worse than turning up at a pristine property, knowing your dogs and children will bring in mud etc. Grounds excellent plenty of space.
