    Upon arrival we were told that the pool was out of action. It was green and full of black slime & obviously had not been cleaned for a while. We were told that it had been ok the day before by the owner who we had only spoken to the day before. We wanted somewhere with a pool so that on the days we were not exploring the local area we could relax with our own pool. The house itself is dark & dreary & full of very strange collections of dolls & tanks.After spending our first 2 days in a hotel we went back to the house as it seemed that the problem with the pool had been rectified. I spent that day cleaning. There were crumbs in the cutlery draw & I washed all of the kitchenware, sides & tables before we could use them. The next morning we awoke to an ant infestation. Over the road is the main railway line so this is very noisy & at the end of the road is the highway. Neither of these were conducive to a relaxing time! The neighbours kept popping in unannounced & twice they made me scream to find someone unexpected in the kitchen or outside area. The owner then came again unannounced to fix a part on the pool so once again the pool area was not usable & as we were eating lunch in the conservatory they kept walking through. I would not recommend this property!! I did not feel safe in this area, the road that the villa is on is a concrete back street (see picture)
