We really enjoyed our stay at Avocet Cottage. It is beautifully decorated and also had lovely Christmas decorations out while we were there over New Year. It is in a great location with lots to see and do in the area and there are also walks around beautiful countryside directly from the cottage. The owner, Steve, was very friendly and helpful but also unobtrusive. We would very much like to stay again.

The owners Steve and Michelle gave us a very friendly welcome, including a Christmas hamper, and had decorated the living room very prettily with lights and a Christmas tree. The property is spacious and well designed, with a large number of attractive pictures, especially of wild birds and waterfowl. The house's appliances and equipment are excellent - it was the best kitchen area we have ever found in a holiday property. The three bedrooms are large and the beds very comfortable. Altogether the house offered everything that we needed, and was warm and cosy thanks to the efficient underfloor heating. We recommend it highly.

We had a very comfortable and relaxing stay at Avocet. The house was clean and very well equipped. The owners were friendly and helpful. The house had benefited from a new matress in the master bedroom, a lovely new sofa and improvements to the WiFi since we visited last year. The welcome basket was very much appreciated. This is a five star property in my opinion.

Our first visit to this area so really pleased to have chosen such a good place to stay as a base for exploring the area. The welcome pack on arrival was the best we have ever had so a great thank you to the owners. For any future visitors we must recommend the bakery in Stradbroke.

Really lovely cottage and area. Lots to do and see on the property and locally.

Amazing property in lovely surroundings. Brilliant wildlife on your doorstep. Very friendly owner. Brilliant for adults and children.

This is a lovely large property set in a very quiet area. It's a great base for seeing Norfolk and Suffolk alike. The bedrooms are a good size although the huge master bedroom has a tiny en suite for some reason, which is a shame. The master bedroom also has two beds making up the king size bed which makes the join quite uncomfortable. The kitchen is well stocked but the dining area table might be a tight squeeze if it were to seat 6 adults. Steve, the owner, was on hand and popped in to check everything was ok every now and then, as he lives on site and was very accommodating.
