A wonderful cottage just as we were hoping for. There's a neighbour over the road (that I never heard from other than to point out which one was the holiday cottage) but other than that you're completely in the middle of no where. But the village of Buxton with it's pubs and shops is only a couple of miles away so you could even walk it if you wanted to. And the hot tub really just made the whole place perfect! Everyone had a great time here, and we'd certainly recommend it to all.

A lovely country cottage. We had a mixed age group of seven, only issue was all sitting around dining table. Bedrooms were all good and spacious. We would happily return.

Friendly welcome and nice touches with wine, cake and flowers. Comfortable and warm. 2 log burners made it cosy. We'd taken logs with us ,plus kindling and paper which was fortunate as only a small amount supplied. Lighting throughout could be better. Hot tub was a bonus at the end of a day's walking. Shame it isn't situated with a view rather than tucked away at the back of the house, but fairy lights added to the atmosphere. C.D. player wasn't working, towels provided for hot tub were thin and hard, but these were minor issues. Be aware that the access road to the barn, about a mile and a half, is very bumpy and potholed. As the road is unlit, care needs to be taken if approaching at night. Very rural setting and quiet. Nearest pub, amenities etc in Buxton (a good 2 miles away) which was fine for our group as we catered at the cottage, but might not suit if you want to eat out and have a glass or two!

Lovely cottage, very clean and beautifully presented. Wonderful owners who were very helpful. Wi-Fi would be a plus but apart from that it's perfect

Very Comfortable. Very Warm. Well Maintained. Lovely Barn Conversion. Owner was extremely helpful and accessible. Even left a blue light on in the top window, when she found out we were arriving late. Made finding the barn much easier than it could have been. Will go back.
