The famous Turnberry course is just half an hours’ drive along the dramatic coastline. The River Stinchar offers excellent fishing opportunities together with delightful riverside walks. The Galloway Forest Park is the UKs largest and is an official Dark Sky Park offering the most incredible opportunities to view the night sky. Beach 2 miles.     A lovely warm comfortable holiday cottage. The perfect place to escape the rat race, relax and unwind.

    loved the cottage loved the area, just could do with a yard brush to sweep falling leaves so you didn't fetch them into the cottages , but I am just nit picking there

    Perfect location for us, but on a working farm so might not suit everyone- enclosed garden would be good as our dog tends to wander.Interesting to explore the immediate vicinity-ruined Edwardian mansion,great views from up the road. Water went off but this was fixed in less than 30 mins by the friendly helpful owner. Shower pressure low but you get used to it. WiFi and Netflix great.beds and settees very comfy. Really stunning Area especially the coast and beaches- we live only 2 hours away but it was a revelation to us- Scottish tourist board really need to focus on areas other than the Highlands!

    If you are looking for a quiet and peaceful place to relax in the countryside while being just minutes from a small village and a 20 minute drive to the beach this is for you. The bungalow was lovely and spacious, the beds were comfortable and the large windows allowed us to look out on the beautiful surroundings.

    Very nice cottage, saw deer and pheasant in field at front every day and a hare most days that came right up past the house in the evenings. TV played about sometimes, but there was always something to watch if you wanted it, me I was quite happy looking out of the window. Tractors at rear are close but they were only collecting feed for the cows 3-4 trips (10 mins,tops) in morning was about it most days ( if you don't like farming, don't go to the countryside, simple). Countryside beautiful and coast just glorious, I could drive up and down that coast all day every day. We will return

    We enjoyed really nice winter holiday for 5 days. Really nice bungalow. Great places and forest park around. I hope we get availability for summer because we would like to come back for alsa craig island visit which we couldn't do due to bad weather.

    We had a lovely week away over new year. The bungalow was very clean and well equipped. The beds were very comfortable and plenty of towels provided. The location was stunning though remote. The sunsets and wildlife were amazing! We would highly recommend a visit and will be back again ourselves! X thank you

    We had an amazing stay at the Balnowart Bungalow. Just exactly what we needed peace and quiet and lovely evenings by the open fire. I would definitely recommend it and I am sure we will come back.
