What a beautiful cottage and owners could not have been more helpful. Welcome pack a lovely surprise. Everything at hand to make our holiday stress free.
We had a wonderful stay at bank cottage. It's a true home away from home and has been very thoughtfully appointed. The view from the garden is breathtaking and the hot tub adds an aspect of luxury to your stay. We wouldn't hesitate to book this dog friendly cottage again!
Absolutely fantastic cottage. Perfect in every way. Everything thought of, comfortable and clean, the hot tub and the views add that little something extra. Will definitely return. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and didn’t want to leave!
Beautiful cottage with stunning views over the estuary. The cottage was equipped with everything you would need and more. Mayur and Kirsty are exceptional hosts and we feel privileged to have stayed here with the dogs and will definitely return.
Our holiday started when we approached the cottage along the the Solway Firth with cows grazing along the bank. The cottage itself is lovely. Has everything you need. A great kitchen, beautifully decorated, clean, quiet, light and with amazing views. We had breakfast on the terrace daily and then headed out and did different walks in The Lake District, Hadrian’s Wall and visited beautiful villages. Raced back every evening to prepare dinner, dine and enjoy sundowners on the terrace. A reconnection with unspoilt quiet surroundings. Friendly village. Had evening drinks with really interesting neighbours. Highly recommend and we will be back. Loved it!!!!
Don't let the lack of local amenities put you off - this has to be hands down the best self catering accommodation we have stayed in - it is amazing and there isn't anything that hasn't been thought of! Beach on the doorstep, no crowds of tourists and lovely pub. As long as you go prepared and don't need to find a shop every day this place is heaven! We will definitely be back.
Beautiful cottage, lovely furniture and fittings Incredible views over Solway. Perfect hideaway for quiet holiday.
The cottage is beautifully presented to an extremely high standard. It has everything you could possibly want for a relaxing break. The aspect is stunning with the added bonus of an enclosed garden and a hot tub.
We were very grateful for the generous welcome pack, and we arranged for our shopping to be delivered the next morning before we left home.
The local pub the Kings Arms have excellent staff and they do a takeaway menu, including a gluten free which was brilliant.
We can’t thank the owners highly enough, they quickly resolved a minor issue and were kind and considerate before, during and after our stay.
We fully intend to return to this gorgeous cottage, and can’t recommend highly enough.
Loved every moment staying at Bank Cottage. The cottage is in a small village which adds to its calming & relaxing atmosphere. The cottage was spotless and very well equipped. We will be looking to visit again in the future without a doubt.
We had an amazing time. Cottage was spotless and the hot tub finished it off. The welcome pack was out of this world. Nothing was missing. Definately book again. A local shop for milk and bread would be handy. The kings arms nice meal and allowed dogs which bonus.
Fantastic cottagein a good location for exploring carlisle and the Scottish borders. The cottage is clean, comfortable and well equipped. Lovely hot tub to wind down in after a busy day exploring. Welcome pack on arrival and friendly communication from the owners.
Excellent cottage in a beautiful location if you want to get away from it all (but still have access to WiFi and mobile phones). Fixtures and fittings of a high standard. We stay at numerous cottages a year and this is one we will definitely return to. Hot tub a big bonus, and we spent a lot of time on it. Owners comms are extremely good and it was great to meet them for a short time as we arrived as they were leaving after getting the cottage ready for us! If you are looking for a peaceful location, with cottage facilities that have a real home from home feel, this is definitely a great place to stay.

The cottage was gorgeous, very relaxing and peaceful. It was immaculately clean and the hot tub was fab. A TV in the bedroom would have been the cherry on the cake but we understand that this isn't important to everyone. Overall a lovely property that we would recommend to anyone looking for a top quality, quiet and homely break. PS... A big thumbs up for being pet friendly. Our doggies loved it too.
We loved it so much we booked to go back r8 hours after we arrived there! Beautiful place, so peaceful, a true home from home. Everything you need is there and the whole place is really well thought out. Hot tub is fantastic, the bathtub inside is amazing. The garden is lovely and secure for the dogs. Parking was fine in the village and we had no problems loading or unloading. We didn't try the local pub, it is closed on Mondays but took a trip to Carlisle for a meal in Sunday. We did. Bit of food shopping at A local farm shop and the asda near the motorway. I cannot wait to come back!
The cottage was perfect. Very homely and cozy. Decor was very high quality and very nicely decorated with amazing views. The area was lovely, went on lots of walks and being able to go in the hot tub after was great. Lovely touches with fresh flowers, starter kit and treat for your dog. Would definitely love to return in the future.
