This was a super little place and excellent value for money. The owner was there to greet us when we arrived and couldn’t have been more welcoming. The location and cleanliness were great and to add to it all we had the most amazing weather. We were able to bring our dog and she too was made very welcome. The sitting room was great and in cooler weather the log burner would be wonderful. If I have any criticisms (and please these are small and intended to be helpful) it would be that the double bed could easily have been a King Size which I think is what most couples have these days with a more comfortable mattress and pillows. The kitchen was also not well equipped ... we didn’t do a lot of cooking but some sharp knives etc would have been useful...oh and bath sheets not smaller bath towels ( and a bath mat to step out of shower onto ...we had to use a towel) That said this really was absolutely excellent value for money and we had a wonderful time!

The cottage was in an excellent location for visiting surrounding areas and walking the dogs.Although the garden is enclosed it is shared with the other 3 cottages, which was fine as long as your dogs got on with other ones which ours did.The garden is well maintained and very pretty, that contrasts with the mess you see when looking out the windows facing the back of the cottage.A little tidy up would make a huge difference, the owner was helpful and hopefully they will manage to bring Barcaldine house back to life.

Lovely cottage, the photos on the website don't do it justice. Cosy and comfy, lovely relaxing communal garden area with more than enough for everyone. The Caledonia cycle path is at the end of the driveway. Amazing scenic walk through a forestry commission area just minutes walk away. Easy access to Loch Creran if you like kayaking and paddle boarding from a nearby layby. The marina also allows you to use their slipway if you have a larger boat. There's a shop 3 miles away and a few other local businesses including a tearoom and Oban is a 15 minute drive away for your supermarkets and boat trips and ferries. Perfect location to use as a base to go exploring.

perfect peace . just loved the cottage, has everything we needed, made up with the little touches, like the tea, coffee, sugar, milk and even box of short bread for our arrival. The cottage was immaculate, and really warm and cosy . loved the log burner. the couple that run it were absolutely lovely people, and were always making sure everything was fine. would highly recommend. If you looking for the perfect peaceful getaway this is it. not far from oban, and little village shop nearby. me and my husband had a brilliant peaceful week. However you had you own personal wi-fi.

We visited in October when it was wet and chilly. The cottage was very cosy as we lit the wood burner. Comfy beds, modern kitchen. Very welcoming also for our two dogs. We enjoyed our stay there.
